***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Pipe bomb on NM3 at the sewer actually saved me once. All the team mates dropped down the hole and I decided to throw a pipe around where the smoker normally stands. Then the Smoker grabbed me, game over I thought. Then the pipe exploded and set me free and I dropped down the hole. Sometimes if the explosion is close it knocks you free.

I never get smokered there because i found a way not to. Before i knew how to avoid getting smokered, i got pulled once and a hunter came along and started clawing me whilst the smoker had me in his grasp. The hunter only bloody clawed the tongue and set me free. End result = bye bye hunter, bye bye smoker :D ;) There was some cussing between the players of the dead smoker and hunter shortly afterwards :p

All I can say about yesterdays game is poor Nabil, you were'nt the intended target all the time, but it was as funny as hell to watch you constantly die. Must be a bug!

Good games last night tbh, leeroying is fun, even if I seem to be the hunter or smoker target every time...!
 
Yeah thanks for introducing me to VS mode and for putting up with my noobness (such as using my shotgun against a car when I have just been told to not shoot it or an alarm will go off!)

We won though, so it's all good :)

I SUCKED at the old Leeroy Jenkins rush games though :p

Hahaha, yeah last night was good! Supprised we won by the few 100 points, considering we did have you - who is the first to admit they are a newbie to VS :)

Myself, Hungry Hippo and Uzi know each other fairly well and are in my ventrilo/play regularly together so we were covering you as best we could, but it was hard work!! Made the game real interesting though! Having new guys is what makes a normal game lulz though, for examples like you said; Warned about red car with flashing light, shot at it anyway in a state of panic/zombie ownage :D We still only lost Uzi that round after a galient effort to save him and nearly all dying after the tank!!

I think the decider was when we all managed to survive NM3 and they didn't. Every other map was a draw in either both teams won or lost, iirc. Shame to Link, Fish, CP(?) and Motorhead. Just goes to show that any team can have the right luck/oppertunity and capitalise on it for victory!

The Leeroy games are more of a lulz based scenario. Given that we whack all talk on and the objective is to basically rush the map as far as you can without getting nommed :D It's usually good for a quick campaign or two after a serious game to wind down on :)

Anyway, hopefully more games tonight, probably around 8pmish, so maybe see you guys online then?

God damned bum!!!

To be honest, majority of people who aren't students/bums with access to their own servers are going to be playing it Wednesday.

Mainly due to the fact that the patch is going to be later on in the day on the 21st, in American time which is pretty normal. Consider that this is going to be late tuesday night/wednesday morning for us.

Then servers/friends all have to be updated, etc. So if you are awake after 12midnight then you stand a good chance.

For the rest of us who live in real life and have work, best just to set your hopes to when you get home, on Wednesday :)

Luckily I sleep very little so even with work/etc, it's likely I'll have OcUK 1 and 2 updated as long as the patch comes out before 2am or so :)
