Updates to Left 4 Dead have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Left 4 Dead


Lobbies and games you've recently joined and left will be ignored for two minutes. This will prevent a player from ending up in the same lobby or game when quickly searching for another

Restored Find a Game Lobby/Find a Game in Progress to the Create Lobby screen available from the Lobby Browser

Updated localization text

Fixed an issue where VPK.EXE would not extract all files

Not massively exciting, but at least it shows Valve are paying some attention to Left 4 Dead...

Ocuk 3-5 updated, dunno how necessary it is, but it's done :)
 
How do you find those stats, zombies killed, molotovs thrown etc?

One you get Zombie Genocide it no longer increase past the 53595 number.

hope they add better support for the multi player maps (as in the scoreboards), I quite often play on random 9vs9 servers now when no-one else is on
 
8 v 8 games are getting messed up due to people switching sides all the time. Why can't people join the game , take whatever side they are randomly selected on and get on with playing?

It got to the point where people were speccing waiting for a space to appear on the team they wanted last night and leaving the other team short.
 
I might just drop the team changer to 1 per map change, that'll slow em down...

Or just kick anyone who I don't see on a team after the first 5 mins...

Also the "How do I join a team?" question is starting to get on my ***s now. It's jointeam 2, jointeam 3 or retry in the console. That's the CONSOLE, not CHAT. Sometimes it works just by pressing m. I think I may start kicking anyone who asks that question now on principle, especially as it's usually the same people who've forgotten since the last round... :confused:
 
i have been downloading maps and playing all the custom ones, sorry to say i dont like the verus mode, just like doing campaigns on advanced level, i find normal too easy and expert well yeah its tough but more time consuming as i'm not the best and you rarely get a great team of fully supportive team mates..
