@ Jimlad. Turn off anti-aliasing and maybe drop the filtering to the second option down aswell (begins with T I think).

If that fails set all the other options to medium.

If that doesn't work then turn off multicore rendering.
 
I've got loads of free time for the next month or so, so I'll be on a lot.

Just with the OCUK group there are over 700 people and finding regular players is a bit hit and miss

I have my own list of friends but should we have a new list of people somewhere that play L4D more than once a week ?

There's a group specifically for OcUK L4D with lots of active players. There is usually 2 games running at the same time most weekday evenings and weekends. :)
 
Good game last night guys. Although our team did fail at teh top of the hospital when x2 of us died before we could get on the heli. Damn those zombies for surrounding us !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something very satisfying about constantly killing Dingleberry :D
 
Well, first public test of my map was favourable - thanks Lyon! Lots to do still, plus I want to try and incorporate a story into the map, give it a bit more reason. At least we now know that playing it on Expert with a pair of bots is a bad, bad idea :) today's run also gave me some ideas on ammo use and where people went "where do I go next?". Nice to see someone having fun on my creation though :)

If anyone else wants to give it a go, just let me know on here and I'll send you the link via Steam.

Was good fun mate, can't wait for the next version.

I really appreciate people creating new maps, that sense of exploration and camaraderie that you only get with other people that don't really know what they are doing is pretty much the only thing that keeps me coming back to L4D now.

Click the Tools tab inside Steam and then install the L4D Authoring Tools - there are some tutorials around to help you get started.
 
Rant!!!!!!!!!!
The computer parts were supposed to arrive last Thursday and it's not even dispatched yet! I wish overclockers wouldn't say things are in stock when they're not, or at least send an email about it :@ and ofc they charge you before they even send the stuff...........
So my computer is delayed an extra 1-2 weeks. Yay. No l4d for me :(
