***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Are any of those servers co-op expert? Would you defo get the credit for completing on one?

They're just set to normal at the moment (due to me forgetting the line in the config). The way to ensure you get the credit for expert is:

Join server
Callvote expert difficulty
Callvote restart campaign
Never go idle
Finish campaign

Hm, I'll have to remember that.

I'll be up for Blood Harvest Co-op this evening actually, as I haven't completed it apparently :p (In Co-op anyway) So I'll be on for that if anyone wants to have a go.

And any campaign on the hardest settings as well really.

I didn't play the demo but bought L4D based on feedback here and glad I did. It's one of the most fun FPS games I've played and this steam group is a great way to play with good people.

Think I will be sitting out tonight. I'm going to need more maps sharpish unless I restrict my play time on it. So tonight is CSS!

Can't be bothered to make a new thread as someone here may have experienced this:

A friend has L4D on his desktop. He can play the game fine against bots run locally, etc.

When he tries to connect to ANY online game it fails after 10 tries. He has verified the game files. No AV or FW that can be disrupting it. No windows updates or any noticable updates known of have been applied.

Funny thing is he had the game a few weeks and it worked fine then he didn't play for say a week or two and now it's a constant. He has a laptop on the same network and installed the game and it works fine from that.

Other Steam games like CSS, TF2 all work 100% normally.

Any ideas other than deleting and redownloading as an option to try? Has anyone heard of this or seen it? My friend has checked steam forums and nothing recent that details the same issues.....
