hello mate :-) always nice to put a forum name to a fellow 'survivor'. I'm pretty sure it is not time related, as it timed out last night after about 10 minutes from the start, and we were playing for much longer than that on the couple of occasions that it timed out on us.

Unless you mean actual time (i.e. 11-07 last night) rather than the time since the game started

sometimes it happens that when a game is starting were sending out invites and someone will reply saying be right there etc and just after they sy that sum1 else jumps in.

I guess its those kind of situations where someone will maybe say sorry such and such was just about to join.

For me im not that worried i always believe once a server is up and were sending out invites the first 8 to get in deserve their place.

Besides mate anytime you have been in a game we have had a right laugh on mic's so its all good to me :)

Indeed eh ;)

Although my mic is quiet, I hate this logitech thing, it's pants.

I don't mind leaving sometimes, its just how certain people ask you to leave "F off Opul so and so is joining and you stol they're place" :rolleyes:......Hehe, no biggy as I said.

I'll be on again at some point today hopefully, might stay in tonight and save money as well, dunno yet.
 
im always up for an afternoon game at weekends, trigger also jumps on a few times during the day so you will find sum1 online earlier if your heain out at nights :)
 
I tried updating a few more plugins last night and will be updating sourcemod to one of hte latest dev branches today... Aside from that, I'm at a bit of a loss. I may try running the co-op servers seperately to the Vs (e.g. not -forked) to see if that helps... But..Hmm..

Well...what's changed? What's been added? What's been removed?

It obviously wasen't crashing before presumably?
 
The only thing that was added when the crashes appeared was the Infected HUD...

I admittedly haven't tested it thoroughly but it worked okay for me up to the very end of the church section when I tried running through the campaign. I'll try taking out the Infected HUD again and people can let me know about it I guess.

(apologies if not making huge amounts of sense - very late night and I'm only just awake)

Most people would use Fraps...Although having Fraps constantly record lags the game I find....

Sooo, you could just record the demo directly in the engine, by typing record in console, only issue then is you have to manually paly it back in the engine then record what parts you want using fraps.
 
Right, it's definitely Infected HUD that's causing it. Unfortunately the mod manager plugin mentioned earlier will only disable/enable for all servers (not just individual ones) so until I can get the time to seperate the co-op and Vs servers, I'll have to disable InfHUD :/
 
Had my first game on the ocuk server just before and it was brilliant, even though normal difficulty was too easy.

The ending was ace too (when the boat comes to rescue you). Got vomitted on by a boomer so I couldn't see where I was going and nearly got left behind. Everyone on the team had to provide covering fire from the boat for me as I started running for my life with a horde of zombies and a tank chasing me (although I think it may have died earlier on).

Coolest parts for me are when the whole team is just blasting away to keep the hordes of zombies back; reminds me of those old zombie flicks, where I used to imagine being in that situation in real life. L4D is not real, but it's pretty close, lol. :D

Performance ingame recording witth Fraps I find is a non issue as I still get 50+fps in record mode (70+ out of crecord mode).
 
just had my first real versus game with some ocukers. i am very very bad but it was fun although i think my team was getting a bit frustrated with me! i'm sure the oppo were targetting me also :(

hopefully will get a chance to play with some of you guys again - need to improve quite a bit tho. versus seems to be much quicker than campaign and when you dont know the levels that well its easier to get left behind and picked off especially playing against a well drilled infected team.

you were doin ok mate, guys just tend to get frustrated quickly because in vs their competitive spirit comes out.

Some need reminding that its FUN to do what you want in the game and not what others want you to do.

I couldnt care less about winning the vs games personally as long as im enjoying the game thats all that matters, and some of the funniest games ive had are where im getting completely owned :)

u were ok for a first real versus ;) join us more i dont rly mind losing or wining i just want some fun of course i miss it when we got pwned 30ft from save room ;D
