***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

I've had a couple of goes on expert but you need to play with people who play as a team and preferably with voice comms or you don't get off the first level. Shotguns should be banned. The number of times I've been incapped by someone with a shotty shooting accross the team.....
Joined a game on easy last night for a look as the other games were either empty or full. Clear to see why. No real team play at all, more of an every man for themselves. Illustrated by one player healing / grabbing health when they were in high greens as another player was on the last leg of red just about stumbling along unable to keep up.
Don't mention molotovs or pipe bombs, they were thrown seconds after being picked up so were just wasted.
Then they didn't make it off the finarly so all RQ....

Just had an amazing game with a few of the peeps here, Voice comms makes all teh differenceWe pwnzd and also got pwnzd too.
Great fun!
Really enjoyed that game too, we were pretty epic as the infected, especially with baiting people out, then POUNCING NOM NOM NOM
whats the cheapest people have been able to find this game for?so far £26 is the best price i can find but i was looking to get it a bit cheaper than that
i got it for 20 before release.. but im sure it was on steam for 22.99

just played l4d on new i7 rig and got crashes to desktop
please dont tell me all source games still crash when running on more than one cpu core

done it in about 130hrs
It's probably been asked...but how do I find decent servers? I can only join servers through the 'find games in progress' jobbie. Whilst I have had a few good games, most of them have been crap due to totally unbalanced teams. How can I find decent servers for L4D? Sorry if his has been mentioned but I can't be arsed to trawl through all the pages of this thread.
I've done the 'openbrowser' thing in console but I can't connect to any servers, It keeps coming up with server offline. I can see the servers in the browser, but there'll all in red when I click them, then I get the above error message.
