Well...try and hide atleast behind something :p

Hunter is easy really...don't jump straight at them, if you can jump from a half decent height for more damage...And don't forget to multi-jump off walls :p As it confuses people...

Especially if you do it about 8 times down a corridor towards them :D

I'll try to keep my language in check in future. No one has said anything yet, but i have suddenly lost the ability to play well as infected, meaning i get frustrated :( Sorry guys...It may be worth turning my mic off.

I was playing dead air last night (advanced), two of the people were AI and completed without one retry. Was well pleased and generally im getting a lot better but i wont move onto expert yet. The tank on expert seem impossible at times but the zoms are not too bad.

Get on to expert, its the only way to play it. It is mental.

I'll be online tonight till the early hours. Add me if you fancy a blast.
 
I think the only map i could play on expert would be Dead Air but if even one player runs off on his own the (at times predictible) AI spawns a hunter & boomer infront of you!

finish work at 22:00: watch the 24 new series while in the bath or Lfd?
 
To play Vs in single player mode....

Start single player and pick your map. Start as normal
Once started press the console button and type: exec spversus.cfg
Press M to change team
Type: "Give health" Without the commas into the console so you can pounce

Thats it. To spawn press one of the F keys

F1: Boomer
F2: Smoker
F3: Hunter
F4: Tank
F5: Common infected
F6: Witch

Agreed that the hunter takes the most practice. You spend the most time playing the hunter, so you may as well get good at it. When you can make consistant 25point pounces like this video
, playing the hunter is a lot more fun

Nice Post. It will be very useful :)

Had a couple of fun games last night. I was playing with a uni mate, his brother and a mate of his on versus against randoms initially. Over time the randoms all left and got replaced with essentially an OcUK team, lol. As they haven't played it very much we got obliterated. Then they gave up. Luckily I got another uni mate in and a couple of others joined :) As bad as that game went for us, it was a lot of fun. How many times can 1 person fall of the skyscraper?

We followed that up with another game where we got connected to an annoyingly bad server with a blood mod, which I have to admit was quite amusing at times, made it difficult to see!

All in all good fun last night :) May well be on again tonight if people are up for a game.

EDIT: I've tried running your versus idea on my laptop rob and it can't find the spversus.cfg :(
 
Odd question here, but I hope someone can answer it!

My friend has bought Left 4 Dead on steam, but he can't download it due to the limits of his ISP.

Is there anyway that I can put the installation files on a DVD and save him having to download everything? In other words, when he starts to install the game in steam, it just downloads the installation files form the DVD rather than the internet.
