Bought L4D over the weekend to take advantage of the offer but having a problem with it. Every now and then everything in game just freezes, graphics and sound and this can last anywhere from a second to 3 or 4 seconds. Its also quite intermittent.
I've just upgraded Gfx drivers to 181.22. I'm running at 1680 x 1050 on the spec in sig. I tried knocking some of the Gfx settings down such as AA, AF and shaders but no difference either.
Any ideas?
Completed that hunter city map over the weekend, then did again in a fraction of the time, it really does improve your multi-pounce skils! And gives great insight into what the huntor can do. I've achieved some great damage pounces since, getting up to much higher areas!

Cool, I didn't know that also fixed it.I disabled that, and it fixed one of my issues...but i didnt like the fact i had to disable that option.
So, I put it in borderless window mode, and it worked just the sameSo hey.
Try both options, see which works the best.
Definitely is the multi core issue, either disable it in options or try sticking it in window mode.Bought L4D over the weekend to take advantage of the offer but having a problem with it. I didn't like the idea of disabling it either, but the performance drop was either zero or unnoticeable, so I couldn't lose. Doesn't running in windowed drive you nuts?
Looks exactly the same as a normal full screen res

Been having quite a few good games with fellow ocuk'ers recently. One thing i can't work out though.....how do you start a lobby? I can only seem to either find a game in progress, or join a current lobby, often with an idler in it? It's not causing massive problem but would be nice if i could start my own lobby? Is voice over steam decent?
Could some give a step by step guide on the whole console, typing, lobby thing please?
Maybe have it in the first post of the thread as well?
I just had a random go to test it out, but need to set up my mic and such.
