***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

loads of bugs in l4d recently.

We were stuck about 30 times on this one server. Double tank and witches for us on another. LObbys yesterday wouldnt allow more than the lobby leader in them, and they couldnt select any options. Maps are a bit buggy (death toll, roofs arent fixed, finale is easy.. just stand in the water..) teams get switched randomly... -.-

The "SDK" is out now.

If you check an earlier post of mine, I quoted a guy of the L4Dmods dot com forum and basically the SDK won't deliver, given that the actual Source Code is not being released; just a few developer kits and model editors .

Guys,

I'm trying to get the 'Unbreakable' achievement - does not using a first aid kit on yourself include pain-pills? I've just played through an entire campaign without using a kit on myself and I didn't get it :(

Pills are ok I'm pretty sure.

You can't be healed by your team mates either I don't think for that achievement.

It sometimes does mess up from past experience and some achievements aren't awarded at the end of campaigns when they should be.

Maybe try again mate, you might be luckier next time!
 
Played my first Vs game today with some of the guys from here. Man i sucked!

Have only played campaign before and it dosent really get you ready for it.

Looking forward to playing again now i get whats going on :)

Need to sort out my mic, dunno whats up with it.

Good games earlier dude, glad to get you introduced to VS mode. It's quite the step up from campaign if you're not expecting it. There are a lot of times where you just kinda know whats comming or how to react.

There are some really good little guides/pointers in this thread written out by some of the guys that give good advice, you'd have to trawl through unless someone can dig them out and link them though :)

Oh, and having a mic is pretty damn essential as you found! Sometimes getting dragged off or stuck back and not being able to call for help really does make the difference!

Worst comes to worst make a bind for team chat saying "HELP ME!!!!1111" and spam like a mofo when you're getting butt holed (Ask Bucks, he knows) ;)

Yeah man, was awesome. My mic worked in bf2 last night, for some reason the levels and mic boost keep reseting. Stupid vista lol

Hopefully be on later today :)

Having a good aim and FPS back ground helps in L4D but often zombies go down with any form of spray. More important for special infected!

It's having good aim, knowledge, reaction time and teamwork that you need for this game!
 
Good game just now guys. :)

I think it would be cool if you could retrieve things like petrol/gas canisters as a Smoker.

I.E. someone has placed one out in the open. As Smoker, you target it and drag it to safety.
 
I'd just like to say that I think "No Mercy Chapter 4. The Hostpital" is the worst level out of all four campaigns. ****** pile of shizzle. I hate it more than survival mode.

Indeed way to easy for survivors unless of course it was like our game earlier where we got an early tank straight out of the door. Killed it, then another tank came running down :eek:
