***OFFICAL*** Left 4 Dead Thread!

Right Final Update, except for bug fixes probably. All the others have had buffs, now it is the tank's turn.

Infected:
-Tanks can now "sprint" by holding down the walk key, making them faster than survivors. Their standard run is the same.
-Tanks can now be damaged more by pipebombs. Each one takes 1500 off his health.
-Tank health lowered. Now on 9000. (EDIT: Stuck on 11000 atm, will try and drop it later now)
-Boomers can now vomit more often, have longer range, puke for longer and can move a little faster.

Other:
-More cvars added to config for easier extra changes at a later date.

Right. There we have it. Hopefully I'm done but I'll probably think of other things to change in due course. The standard walk button (sprint for tank) is shift btw if you want to make some use out of the tank's extra speed. The point of this is that the tank was pretty powerful as it was which was useful before the other infected were improved, now if the tank is used in conjunction with other infected he can still be hugely lethal (speed bonus), but is not too difficult to take down is worked on by all survivors.

As always, let me know if this brings any more balance conflicts however. Now the boomer is better I'm tempted to drop it down to 1 again, but we'll see how it goes...

Nice work link, the only thing I can see is that people will just continually sprint as the tank or is there some sort of time limiter on it?

Yeah if people can just continually sprint then it will be abused, it should be that they can sprint for 5-10 seconds but after that their speed is reduced to 50% for 5-10 seconds

I'm still thinking about that sprint idea. I may just lower the tank health more and give higher standard speed. An update I forgot to mention is that a tank hit also now does more damage. 35 per hit instead of 24. The health will be lowered however to compensate.

Finished playing with it for now. Will be testing it tomorrow night most likely but if others can get on tonight and let me know how it goes I'd be most grateful.

Changes Included:

Survivors:
-Increased Pistols that you find lying around.
-Survivor Pickup health is now 60.

Infected:
-Tank health multi lowered to what it was in much earlier version to compensate for speed bonus.
-Tank can nolonger sprint faster than their standard run. Walk now drops tank back to original speed, whilst they run faster as standard.
-Tank takes 60 seconds to burn from molotov.
-Tank damage per swing is now 40. If survivors get organised there's no reason why he should get that many hits in.
-Pipe bombs now do 1000 damage to Tanks
-Boomer vomit range reduced back to slightly higher than normal.
-Boomer vomit delay removed. (Experimental, but should remove the lag when it spawns)

Other:
-Ready plugin now enables only 4 players to play. (Not removing it as it's useful to make sure sides are fair in numbers before starting a game)
-Added "Link to Insanity's Superverses Mode Activated" to the config :)

Will get it to aekeron asap so should be on the server by this evening. Any feedback and realistic suggestions (e.g. can't change tank skin/music atm ;)) appreciated.

Once all the config changes are proved working and reasonably balanced (will always be a little more in infected's favour as survivors need to work better as a team imo) I will post a list of all the changes that the Superversus config makes and if possible, will zip the two files and instructions together and post for other server managers to download. As long as Aekeron doesn't mind hosting it? :D

Edit: Changed a couple of updates.

Would it be possible to add more ammo piles into the maps? It just seems as if you are forced to go with the shotguns as the improved zombies and extra infected just sap your assault rifle ammo to quickly.

This is a pretty good idea actually but i think it will require editing the actual maps. The source files for these maps should be out this week however. Hopefully this should allow me to fix the current maps and make adjustments for a 8v8 map.
