Early evening yes! I'm usually afk and come back to find people have sent invites at the early morning hours and stuff....crazy!
 
Last night's 8v8 was epic! I hadn't played for a while, but it was hilarious :p

I think I'll be joining in the 8v8 more often :)
 
I'll be about from now until I get too drunk to play so if there are any games going gimme a shout! (Even if playing TF2 as I will always leave that for a game)

8v8 server updated. Changed to balance the boomer a bit and fix the long wait for a tank spawn on the finale. Standard infected health is now balanced a bit more aswell.

General:
-Extra Cvars added to tweak more options
-Version number of hardset file increased from 1.02 to 1.03

Survivors
-Can now only be incapped standard number of times (ie 2)
-Can crawl when incapped
-Have more health on revival
-Start limping on lower health
-Move slightly faster on limp
-Have less health when clinging onto ledge

Infected Fixes:
-Boomer health increased to 100
-Boomer speed increased to 200
-Boomer range increased
-Boomer limit is now 1
-Survivors are blinded for longer now by a successful boomer attack
-Boomer bombing is now disabled. It never worked right anyway. Jumping from a height will no longer cause an explosion.
-General Infected move faster
-General Infected have less health (still double health from normal games)
-Witch burn damage increased
-Car Alarms sound for longer and can be set off from further away

The idea for this update is to make it more manageable for survivors to complete a level, whilst it is still kept as a challenge and fixing a few problems caused by multiple boomers (therefore making the boomer stronger to make up for just having 1). The hunter limit is now on 6, but depending on how this update changes things I may bring back 3 smokers. Survivors still need to keep together, not that many do...

OcUK3 and OcUK5 both have Death Aboard installed as well as the Central Dark survival map. OcUK3 has Dam It, but it appears broken atm.

Also made 2 new configs to allow 16 man coop and 16 man survival versus (5 human infected + bots vs 11 survivors). These are on ocuk4 and are accessable by an admin running supercoop.cfg or supersurvival.cfg. Both are experimental and need testing (16 man coop will most likely be reduced to 8 man if this doesn't work so well). Balancing should be unchanged for survival but coop aims to make it significantly harder for the 16 man team of survivors giving infected many of the strengths that 8v8 gives them, whilst the 16 survivors lose all theirs and it becomes more like the usual gameplay, with expert fire damage still there.

Just had a go at Death Aboard on single player. Only played the first two maps, but it seems well made. The first level is a little..dull as said before, but it definately makes a good break from the orginal campaigns, which are becoming a little stale for me now.

The only problem I had was that on the second level, when you get to the large open area not long after the start, a tank appeared, and hit the whole team onto some pipe without a proper way down, which meant the tank failed, Bill died because he couldn't climb down properly, and because of the where we were thrown to, I think I missed out half the map :p
 
not a cheat a server mod, i found this out on a campaign yesturday, the longer you play the more points you get and this gives you these 'special abilitys' like laser sites, higher clip size, weapon damage, boomer goggles (see through vomit)... and many more :)

I got the laser sights, increased clip capacity and hollow point bullets as soon as i joined the server.

Got to admit it was pretty good fun and the laser sights are AWESOME. But i left the game before i reached my best time as i want to do it legit. I cheated on a couple and it takes away the sense of achievement when you do a really good time.

Got 20 mins on Terminal legit with 22 tanks and 1400 zombies, that was a really good game. Shame playing with randoms games like that are few and far between.
 
OcUK5 now has a new plugin installed which enables smoker cloud damage. Will probably be testing it out tonight and if successful I will see about installing it on the other ocuk servers.

So far I'm getting Death Aboard as link said the other doesn't seem to work. Anything else I need thats recommended?

CBA with the survival one, doesn't turn me on at all tbh.

General Rules to play Death Aboard Versus as there seems to be a lot of confusion:

-Make sure that it is version 6.1.
-The file name should be "dthbrd61" and it should be in vpk format within the addons folder. Double clicking the downloaded file should install in this place automaticly.
-Make sure you delete any older versions before installing.
-Either OcUK3 or 5 can be used to play it. Use the ms_force_dedicated server <IP> command to connect to either from lobby. It can take a while to work when the lobby leader clicks start so be patient.
-OcUK 1,2 and 4 do not have custom campaigns to my knowledge at this time. It's up to Aekeron as to whether he wants them on there or not.

I'm around this evening, but I probably won't be tomorrow. Will definately be playing on Thursday night with a mate though, probably giving the 16 man server a spin.

Also found a "leeroy" mod. Going to see if I can enable/disable it on whim with a cfg file. If so I'll stick it on ocuk 3+5 asap as it should prove funny, especially if it ends up on the 8v8 server (ocuk4).

always felt there should be some sort of punishment for not hitting a smoker back then killing him..

ie, his 'acidic blood' hurts you if you kill him in close range :)
