fixed THNX ALL xD the turning vsync off did the trick, lower frames now but i can live with that

btw do any of u play with the grain option on? dono if this is needed or not or if its just for added effects
 
ye its 60hz iiyama lcd , moved from 21" crt , it does lower frames because triple buffer did 60hz x 3 = 180 frames which is what i had but now with it off was getting around 77 but thats fine
 
Yeah, usually it's fine, I agree :)

Quite amused by the idea of triple buffering increasing your framerate threefold though. Might have to make the post into my new forum sig :p
i tryed to get a screenshot for u but its now sitting at 60fps with triple buffering on , not sure if they changed something with one of the updates or what but cant prove that i got 180 now sry ;x

That's just not what trible buffering does, or ever did. TB somtimes displays an incorect frame rate though, but you certainly did not have triple the frame rate.

mabe it was incorrect frames then, im sure it tripled it as when i was running my crt i had 85hz x 3 frames

Tripple buffering can actually cause input lag/delay if your gfx card is able to render consistently faster than your monitor takes to display each frame, try dropping to double if you still have issues :)
 
Oh, mentioned over at RPS.... but the 4 pack of L4D2 works out to be about 20 quid each at the mo.

Shame I bought it before reading that post though. Worth looking into if you havent already go it.
 
News.
Well the 8v8 is working again. However we've taken it down.

There is now a 9v9 however up at this IP: 94.23.222.136:27018 which adds more zombies at 90 health (standard is 50, 8v8 balanced is 100, 8v8 last game was 180).

9v9 Changes from 8v8:
-9 players per side.
-Crash Course is now installed.
-Tanks back at 8v8 standard. They run faster.
-More zombies. Up to 70 can be onscreen at once. This may be dropped back to normal with more health if it takes up too much server resources.
-Max Smokers = 3, Max hunters = 7, Max Boomers is still 1.
-Ready Plugin Currently disabled. Please wait however for enough players to join before starting, at least so that it is fair for both teams (ie 7v7). If we have people running off I shall simply re-enable it.

Please Note that this is still untested with all 18 players. There will be a testing session arranged for some time this week.

Is this to make up for lack of 8V8? Haha, sounds awesome.

Hopefully get a game of 9v9 on the new map, then some of the standards tonight.
