Agree with that to a degree. Logged in this morning and built quite a lot of green houses. Not a single chance card. Yesterday, I got a chance card almost every other house I placed - must have had about a dozen.
Fiji sounds good. Hawaii or New Zealand too big? Too popular?
Just noticed in the official blog faq that you do not get rent if you don't log in.
That pretty much scuppers anyone who is serious about this and going on holiday during the play time.

Definitely. I've got 8 roads hazarded and I haven't had a single bonus/bulldozer card since the start.
Doesn't matter now because they're just green houses and it's being reset, but I found it's much better to build things as late (as close to 1am) as possible. That way you don't make your streets expensive and a target for hazards throughout the day and if you do get hazarded then you can build on another street. Also any chance cards you get are more useful if you've already been hazarded etc.
Hmmm guess so. You *could* ask a friend to just login for you, but I guess it's the same with most games, especially MMOs.
I've had loads on all my accounts. All you have to do is build loads of houses. This is my best account.
Top of the local leader board by 5million 4 out of 5 roads with bonus buildings and 100houses in total on that account.
Other accounts with similar total number of buildings also have a hell of a lot of chance cards.
The accounts with lots of small roads and as such hardly any houses in comparison have a lot less chance cards.

Hmm interesting Acid. So you'd recommend building more small houses just to get chance cards? My main account, as you can see mostly hazarded!

You can't bulldoze hazards on other people's streets unfortunately.
Building loads of small houses to get chance cards is definately a good strategy, however if you fill up you road someone with a nasty combo of demolition and hazard can really mess you up.
Impressed with your portfolio rghjones! How many £1m streets are in there? I think that anything less is a waste but £20m income may tell me otherwise.

They're all 950k+, most are $1m. There's only two I know of who's value is above $1m there but they weren't a $1m road. Also in the process of transferring 6 other $1m+ roads over. All the roads listed there that aren't above $1m don't have any buildings at all.
Is it cheating or smart business sense to buy up $1m roads and transfer them to the account which is doing best

Well, it's kind of cheating, but there's not much difference in doing that to just telling my four friends who don't want to play properly to help me out and do it for me. Would it be cheating for my friends to buy $1m roads and sell them to me at the base price? Maybe, maybe not.
All I'm doing is transferring them to my main account, not the one that's doing the best (although obviously a repercussion of that is that it is now doing the best). However, as you can see, that's not a very smart business move because as soon as you do well and get to the top of the local leaderboard you get your backside raped
.

Even my best account is only worth what you got in interest! It is contantly being hazarded though and only has two roads! Just had a look for $1m roads and couldn't find any after half an hour, bought a $935,000 road instead but loosing out on so much rent irks me!
I think I will buy 3 $1m roads and keep buying roads for a while. My theory being that it will get a good foundation for future growth whilst staying away from the top of any leaderboard!!

Oh and by the way, I know they've said you don't get a bonus for roads being connected, but you must do. If all my properties were free of hazards, I would earn $22.47m tonight (based on adding up all their rental values). As they are, hazarded, I will earn $13.9m tonight and last night (one less hazard) I should've earned $15.7mil. Even with the extra $1m just for logging in that's still $4m less than what I actually got.
Based on that one could assume there's something at play with regards to having streets close together. I'll see what the difference is tonight too.

I've got 20 roads, 9 are 1m roads, 8 of those have buildings one, only one has a hazard on it.
I've been lucky and only hit by a couple of hazards, although one road did have a Bonus Building on it, but that got bulldozed.
That's after I've bought buildings today. But I got $10.6m rent last night, although my spreadsheet worked it out as 8.9m rent so I'm not sure what's going on as even taking the 1m for logging in off that, I was out by 700k, all those values are noted down from the road cards as well.

I only have one street now, all my others got sabotaged so i just took money from selling them, as having 8 roads sabotaged there was no way i was going to get 8 chance bulldozing cards in a hurry.
