Yay,

Been using this since Nov 2008, it's been really fun watching it change and bug hunting. :)

I can't actually get on to Technet now, and they've not put it onto connect for us TAP people, I guess they want us to use Technet. :(

I've grabbed it from MSDN and am using it now. Couple of things to be aware of:

1. You can't install the 64bit version if you have any 32bit Office apps installed. I uninstalled Office 2007, tried again, and it still complained because I had Visio 2007 installed. Had to remove that as well before it would install. I guess this means that I will need the 64bit versions of those apps when I come to reinstall them.

2. The 64bit version of Outlook is not compatible with the CRM 4 plugin. Apparently the 32bit version is though.

I haven't tried to install the 32bit version of 2010 over a 2007 install, but I'd guess it would be a smoother experience than moving to the 64bit version.

Done and installed. Been using the Tech Preview version since that came out, and have only really used Outlook.

Nice to see they've fixed the few niggles I had with it (such as changing the default keyboard shortcut for Forward - what were they thinking?!). Also quite impressed with Conversations view. With the Preview version it was nearly impossible to use - grouped every message with no subject line together, for example - so I turned it off. Will persevere for now.

Careful installing over 2007, I did that with the first beta and have been stuck with it on that particular machine ever since, the second beta and the RC both refused to install saying I had earlier versions even when I had uninstalled everything I could find, even office communicator and the sharepoint activex plugins. I'm going to need to rebuild the machine to install the final version.

Well, we'll be fully testing lots of different upgrade scenarios at work, so we're bound to find the kinks, but thanks for the heads up :)

This was true of the BETA also. Had a right ole faff about going to 64 bit! Still, was worth the effort as I love the BETA.

Downloaded the RTM last night, not got around to installing just yet. To echo theheyes' question - any significant changes from the BETA spotted by anyone?

So what are people downloading? The 32 or 64 bit version?

The general sweeping advice from MS is to install the 32 bit version regardless of OS (citing add-on compatibility as the main reason) and to be honest this is what I've done thus far.

Anybody been using 64 and gone back to 32?

I'm using X64 on this machine, but my main work machine will have to stay as x32 as I need to have SharePoint Designer 2007 and 2010 installed alongside each other. As well as Project 2003 / 2007 and 2010. Which I've not actually tested yet. :)
