Office Chair vs. Gaming Chair

Replacing Castors with lockable ones could be useful for driving sim anyone done that?
will depend on your setup. If you're using pedals with brake preasure cell then you can put a lot of preasure on them and most likely still move backwards.

Next level racing make stands with a small tray that flips out the bottm that you place the front 2 wheels in, it's pretty solid setup (but you still rotate a bit). Could always jerry rig it with some form of adjustable band around the center bit to something solid

thinking of selling on my logitech HM embody. Having owned it for a few years now my honest opinion is it's got too many issues and way overpriced for what it is

tempted to try out the razer seats in their London shop

Anyone compared FLEXISPOT BS8 to Ikea Marcus?

Tried both HM Logitech and Aeron 2 - Aeron is a clear winner for me. But over 1k for a chair is worth only if you have a budget for it. Makes sense to go refurbished route for £500 imo in the current economy if you want top cream.
I despise my Ikea Markus. Got it at the start of the year and will be buying a replacement shortly. The headrest is absurd, it pushes your head forwards. I also find the back support overly aggressive.

Be interested in this if you do decide to sell depending on price

I pocked up a gaming chair at the stat of the fad but it fell apart so quickly I'd be hesitant to go back. I do like the themed gaming chairs even though they are a little in your face haha

Secret labs titan best chair i've had but cannot really say i have tried many office chairs, well ones that weren't dirt cheap.

Agreed... I can't really fault my titan evo at all.. Almost 3 years old now and still feels and looks brand new.

I think a bit of a problem on this topic is some people think 'gaming' style chairs are all the same, I. E. Cheap and not very well thought out.. Which I'm sure is the case for a lot of them.

But equally you could say the same for 'office' chairs... I've had to sit on some real stinkers in various office based IT jobs in my time.

The great thing about secret labs is they are built well but still look kinda cool as long as you don't go crazy with the trim options, but that's a matter of personal taste.
If I had to buy a new chair tomorrow, you'd have a hard time convincing me not to buy another one.

I think it's a pretty poor chair, just not quite bad enough to get rid of immediately.

Hopefully, I'll bin it later this year. Compared to similarly priced office chairs it's uncomfortable, heavy, impractical, and poorly featured. It gives poor support, can't be well personalised to your dimensions (it has very little adjustability), the "racing seat" design is ergonomically poor, and lacks the dynamic sitting features of good chairs.

Only against cheap rubbish does it come up looking good.

I've been considering taking a punt on one of those 'higher quality' Chinese chairs. Particularly the 'Colamy Hina' with a discount code it goes to £187, but that's still a lot of money if it's not a great chair.

Avoid gaming chairs like the plague
5 years on and we have come full Circle :D

In other news might be time I replaced my HM Mirra, think I will be keeping it as a spare chair for when friends come over etc. Thinking of buying a SteelCase-Gesture. Anyone in here used one?
Its that or maybe A HM Embody. Need to have a read myself on whats hot these days. Has not read up really since I got my HM many years ago.

Buy it from somewhere you can send it back. When I got my Herman Miller many moons ago it took me a few chairs before I found one right for me. Had to send a HM Aeron and human scale freedom back as I just didnt get on with them. The Mirra fit like a glove from the off.
