On Friday? .... noobs .... we have our team one on Thursday so we can be hungover on work time on Friday 
...
If I remember correctly it'll be the usual format for our team; beer, all you can eat Chinese buffet, more beer.
There is a proper site work do as well, also on Thursday, but they tend to be pretty poor and are always held somewhere which is completely inconvenient for everyone other than the organiser.

Had mine last friday.
Turn up to work at 9, leave at 11:30. Start drinking all the free booze from then on until you're done? gotta love that.
I get one well with most people i work with, if i was standing in a corner scowling i'd probably leave early, but free drinks and food and a wealth of people to talk to and i'm a happy lad.

Mine is Friday, although I will not be getting as drunk as I did last year, the boss didn't take too well to me asking for a raise

Ours is this Friday as well.
It's the same as any other night out, really. Sometimes they're a blast and sometimes I end up going home early. I've got too many get-togethers this weekend and I'm turning into an old scrooge so I'm not intending to be out too long

Had my Police shift one on Friday. It was messy but pretty good fun.
Got ours on Thursday - pub, all drinks on the company, buffet provided. Last year some random came over and started helping himself to the buffet, so the FD started squaring up to him and gave him a massive *******ing in front of everyone (our FD is a 40 something rather rotund woman...)

Had ours on Friday, enjoyed the drinks and meal but I'm not fussed on the naff wedding-esque discos people insist on so made an early exit at that point.

Had mine this Friday gone, was good fun. Free bar for all staff and some food, meant a lot was drunk by everyone. I generally try to have fun with everyone and anyone but a few of the people who work for us are just little meat sasauges with a chip on their shoulder for everyone. Ended up being a couple of fisty cuff moments.

Get hammered with colleagues (ones you actually like)? Check
Mine was good this year, got a round of jagerbombs in, then hit the prop-photo booth for some silly pictures, then blackjack until my lift home was ready.
