Office Terror Alert Raised.

Still on one piece, we are standing by the nearby pub but the entrance is just on the other side of the police line. A few lab techs will be peeved as their experiments will be ruined. Unsurprisingly it's all rather subdued.

Outside London - Oh my, I hope everyone gets out safe / BBC Y U NO BREAKING NEWS? / HGV serial killer jokes
Inside London - I work near #tcr / They closed my section of the tube down / Gazza jokes / Jeremy Hunt jokes.

And if you couldn't tell already, this episode has just re-enforced my viewpoint on Twitter/citizen journalism: 1% perspiration, 99% retardation.

A siege because a man was throwing stuff out of a window and claimed to have a 'bomb'... wow.

Why is that guy wearing a balaclava? I always think they're special forces that have been brought in to assist which is why they're covered... I mean, there's bound to be a few of them in London doing surveillance and training anyway. Add to that he's in civvies and not an armed police uniform.

I'm guessing you missed the large "police" sign n his chest? :p

I think when someone runs into a building with gas cannisters shouting 'I have nothing to live for' you have to take the threat seriously.

Get with the programme.

Nope, saw it. Anyone know what type of vest he's wearing? Looking through the SO/CO19 pics, I haven't seen one similar. The pics I'm looking at, the armed police have a few more breast pockets and zip up the middle.

Edit: Been checking many more pictures... I cannot find another picture of an SO/CO19 officer using a chest holster. However, google image search "SAS task force black" and "SAS task force knight" and see how popular chest holsters are with both British and American special forces.
