Does anyone have one of these? (One Touch Original 47cm)

I saw a 57cm One Touch Premium in GOOutdoors the other day and it's huge!! It was the one we were going to go for but there's only 2 of us so it seems a bit silly to use so much charcoal on a big bbq for 2. We don't cook for more than 4/6 usually so the 57cm is a bit overkill I think?

Just wish they did the OT Premium in 47cm :(

As well as this (which is bacon weave, seasoned beef minced, fried onion, bacon, mozzarella and BBQ sauce.
Did wings in BBQ sauce, JD and coke.
And some burgers.

A maple syrup and bacon cheesecake.

And a load of JD iced tea & long island iced tea.

Easy to find us - neighbours have got laundry out so we've got the BBQ in the front garden. Ribs smelling good. :D

You should head inside and leave your ribs unattended for about 30 minutes. No reason :p

I'm actually cooking some more jerk chicken with the remainder of the sauce from the other day. Added a bit of extra onion, lime and orange to it to reduce the salt content and make it a little more tart. I think the issue with it last time was that I halved everything but only used one onion so it was a bit too concentrated.

@Glaucus. Those bacon lattice things always kind of horrified me but also look really tempting in another way... What was it like?

They are easy and taste like bacon, so awesome. They are also structurally integral so such things couldn't exist without something like that.

Oh the downside I'm still hangover and tiered.

Cooking whilst drinking JD, is not a good idea, proper epic meal time cooking, till others turned up. Then it moved to cocktails.

The whole thing is great as well. Do you like meatloaf? It's basically what it is, with what ever you like in the middle. Looks more impressive than it really is. It's basically bacon wrapped meatloaf. Still extremely tasty, sliced it and served it in a burger roll.

I've never really had meatloaf either. I think when I was younger I was more of a fussy eater and haven't got round to trying meatloaf since I started actually enjoying food :p I'll have to remedy that soon.

Ended up having to grill the chicken due to the inherited Aldi coal being completely utterly crap.

Despite that, utterly delicious :) I think the recipe+modifications already suggest by Glaucus were pretty bang on.

another batch already.

If you're interested I just logged it. With alterations, reduced cinnamon, 4 limes and 3 scotch bonnets.
Assuming you get 24 thighs per 2 kilos. it's 161 calories per thigh. 8g fat, 5g carbs, 18g protein.

961 mg of sodium though. May have to source low salt soy and just skip the other salt out. as I never eat just one thigh.
That's better, remove salt and use low salt soy drops it to 251mg sodium

Anyone? :)

Definitely get the bigger one. Even if you don't want to cook tons of food at once it gives you more options for indirect, as mentioned.

The BBQ With Franklin guy is kind of annoying when he's "joking" around but when he gets down to business his videos are good. Tempted to try the BBQ sauce :)
