But you're not wrong about RB, since about 2009 (?) they've been up there or thereabouts, it's impressive and something moth other teams fail miserably at. It's quite possible Merc will be the same as Ferrari/McLaren and disappear till the next big rule change.
I've been saying this for 2 seasons on here but people are so immature and spiteful that they choose to ignore it. Just because they dislike a team principle (for defending his team), a driver (because he's aggressive and beat their driver) and a singer (which shouldn't matter and they dislike because she's married to a TP they don't like) they act like football mob mentality, with pathetic, spiteful and baseless comments. They "hate" the team, Red Bull. They forget that those 3 people they see are 3 people out of thousands who build the car and support their families through it, pouring their souls into it. That's what makes F1 special and RBR are a special team, whether you support the British drivers or not. That's why they're always near the front and when they do dominate, they do it in a fashion that even Merc couldn't emulate (in terms of advantage over other teams).

Just some people on OCUK act like they have a mental age of single figures and an IQ of double figures, boring.

Of course, in 2009, the team that is now Merc won the Championship...

Oh, I hate the team  I can just respect what they've achieved :)

True, but before that they were useless, from 2010-2013 they were pretty useless too. Or at least midfield, maybe useless is too strong...

2009 was a bit of an odd scenario as well though wasn't it? Didn't Honda spend an absolute fortune on the 2009 car before cancelling the project and the (superior?!) Merc engine shoe-horned in was the perfect combo...

That's interesting, you only joined a year ago?

So this season and last season is 2 seasons? I’ve actually posted here across 3 seasons, the 2 Max has won (catching the tail end of the fallout from his first win and ensuing OCUK riots, which you and your team allowed to get out of hand) and now this latest one. But maths isn’t your strong point clearly, just like moderating.

My points still stand, which others obviously agree with. But I’m glad you can amuse yourself, not like you have much other input after all - hence why the bickering and name calling got so out of control in these threads that a warning has to be regularly posted.

I make legitimate points and you block me from posting in the new threads, what a pathetic internet troll. @Maccy

Gotta love when a tiny bit of power goes to someone’s head. :p

Not much of the Honda superduperhyper car ended up in the Brawn beyond the double diffuser. And the car that raced was a complete lash-up - overweight, too-high CoG (Merc engine crank height was different to the Honda unit), minimal development potential after the choice not to build a B-spec car was made. Jenson and Rubens did well in the second half of the year to keep grinding results out.

Interesting, you said you've posted here across 3 seasons yet joined in 2022 (so the start of last season) and the start of this season. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's only 2? So I guess maths isn't your strong suit?

As for pathetic internet troll, hmm ok. Take a holiday to consider what you've said - feel free to reach out to us in FCD if you'd like to discuss your history.

Tiny bit of power? Ha, ok...

Interesting read that, cheers :)

The gearbox looked probably the most interesting, no idea if those kind of ideas have been implemented by any of the current teams but seemed like a decent (potential!) improvement at the time...

I would assume they compared to Hulkenberg from last year as he had the faster qualifying time - he beat Stroll by 0.25s - so comparing best times in each year.

IMO it makes more sense to compare the best times in both seasons, instead of whatever mediocrity Stroll can provide in the name of consistency.
