Feel like Russell is suffering the first bit of adversity in his F1 career this season, up till now its has all been fairly plain sailing but he's been bang average v Hamilton this season.

See how he comes through it.

Now that Hamilton isn’t being held back by some experimental parts that don’t work, he seems to be outperforming Russell. That doesn’t make a good troll post or headline though, Hamilton’s career over etc etc

I find Russell a bit moany and quick to blame others.

No no no no... this post should read;

Russell is GARBAGE, absolutely exposed by an old has-been driver, he might as well give up now, complete fraud

That's how it's done in the Motorsport forum.

Yeah Russell needs a good result in the next few races otherwise questions are going to be asked.

He used to be Mr Saturday didn’t he? That’s disappeared quickly :o

I guess you still want to make the best of a bad lap to be fair, I don’t know what banker lap he had down before that but I’m sure it would have guaranteed him 10th lol.

Russell pushed past Lewis when everyone had to get out of the way for Perez finishing his lap.

Russell made this situation himself.
Ooh that’s a bit naughty then. I was gonna say perhaps the team is a bit more to blame for having them so close but never mind!

At least it’s only a sprint so wgaf really :p

The one time I miss a qualy session and it seems to be a good one. Tell you what I'm really pleased for Piastri his understated way of going about things is admirable to see. Will be interesting to see how Norris reacts if he keeps up his current form and it's refreshing to see the Red Bulls challenged for once (albeit with changing conditions - I still feel over normal conditions RB have a huge advantage.)

During the F2 the race leaders headrest came out of the car and causes a safety car. But we don't see any of that as they were showing replays of the start.

Great...

We only knew about it because he came into the pits to retire as they didn't have a spare.

What the F2 stewards playing at? Issued a 10 second stop and go penalty for a driver, next second, removed the penalty and it will now be investigated after the race.

Russell IMO feeling the heat a just a little the past few races - ever since Mercedes reverted to the old design philosophy Hamilton very much back in the ascendancy. I can foresee that if Russell keeps performing like this after the summer break then he will start to face some tough questions will be interesting to see how he reacts going forwards.

Questions from whom? I don't see Mercedes being too unhappy with him overall. At worst, they might need a different driver to take the no. 1 slot when Lewis goes.
I don’t think Merc are stable enough to even make those decisions. Once the car is consistent then they can properly assess driver performance.
