What a glorious performance from Max, a true GOAT he now holds the world records for most wins in a season, the most dominant driver ever.

People saying F1 is boring are just mad, you're witnessing a true spectacle of domination by the Orange GOAT
Absolutely, although it will take him retiring for people to really appreciate it.
I would love to know why Lewis absolutely crapped the bed this race though. Thats got to be one of the worst front row starts I have ever seen.

I'm a fairly recent f1 subscriber, so I come in here most races to try and get some insight to things I might miss out not understand as a noob.

What i get from these threads mostly is the same people every week.
Boring, pointless, more fun watching paint dry. Turned it off, fell asleep, going to stop watching and start watching xyz instead.

STOP WATCHING IT THEN!!!
I think people were hoping the new regs would bring everyone back together. (When it literally does the opposite as one team always gets it more right than the rest..) My only worry is that the teams behind can’t catch up as fast as rightly or wrongly they can’t just launch money at it. Which may then mean they just write this season off and concentrate on the next one which makes the dominance look even worse! Still, 2026 gives us the hope 2 teams get it just as right as one another. :D

We've had the "it was boring when Hamilton was winning" arguments a million times and other posters on here have already provided the stats to prove it otherwise.
It’s completely irrelevant that other posters, especially on a primarily UK forum tell us it WAS exciting in the past dominance era. The fact is, it very frequently wasn’t, and some people turned off. You‘ve maybe had had it with these arguments, but plenty of us have had it with the "my man isn’t winning so I hate this" attitude that keeps growing.
For the most part, I’ve thought this season was good, but I thought yesterdays was pretty dire. The track was disgusting off line, so unless the other driver was a good chunk faster, it’s DRS only for overtakes. The illusion of a chase was on for some drivers at the end, like how they kept talking about Hamilton maybe getting 3rd from Perez. It was never going to happen, unless Perez ran off the track. He had enough pace.

So do you think Rosberg was worse than Perez?

Do you think Prost or Senna were worse than Perez?

The fact is there is no real competition for Max and that is by design. That is what makes it dull.
The truth is Helmut et al are not true racers they just want to win, very comparable to the Schumacher years, the chosen one must win.
I’m not really sure what anyone gains out of it.
Hell even Williams always gave the drivers equal treatment and employed who they thought were the best drivers.

I find the rose tinted F1 fans really annoying as well. What's even funnier when you show them the results of the 'golden ages' where one team won majority of the races and most of the field ended up retiring due to mechanical issues they just ignore it.
While Max is easily winning, I think the rest of the grid is probably the strongest it's been for a while. It seems that most teams can at least make it to Q3 these days.

It does look to me like they don't enjoy the sport unless their driver is in the lead. I enjoy every race for the sport itself, the level of skill of the drivers and the tech that goes into it all.
It's not just the fact that nobody is challenging Max. If you look at the quote below you can see exactly why a lot of people are not liking this "era". As mentioned, from the shenanigans of '21, breaking the cost cap in '22, and the way the team personnel behave (Helmut I'm looking at you) there's a lot to mistrust and dislike around RB as a whole. On top of that, Max is proving himself to be a poor winner with some of his sarcastic comments on the race "simply lovely" , and the orange fans are even worse by insisting on trolling Hamilton fans on every social media post, and with nonsense comments like the below

What they should do is turn off all the driver aids from the pit wall etc...just let them race!
They already did that. Unless something's changed in the regulations, any changes to the car have to be made by the driver.

Thinking about that - didn't Lewis ask if they were turning the car down during the race. Does that hint that they're now able to do that remotely again?

Anyway, i applaud RB and Max. Just shows how good they have been these last few years.
What driver aids? The closest thing I can think of is DRS, and maybe anti-stall, although you could argue the latter is more of a safety feature than an aid.

That last point is spot on. I can’t remember when habitual back of the grid teams could get drivers through to Q3 on occasion when they nailed the set up.

When you think someone saying 'simply lovely' is bad form. I think the issue becomes more about you then them.
