Oh dear. FIA ethics want a word with Lance Stroll.

“The FIA Compliance Officer is in discussion with Lance Stroll in relation to several incidents that may have contravened FIA rules, policies and procedures during the Qatar Grand Prix,” an FIA spokesperson said.

The FIA’s Compliance Officer’s remit includes matters such as enforcing the FIA Code of Ethics and investigating alleged concerns of misconduct.

The reports of health issues for drivers due to the heat are alarming. At least two vomited in their helmets. Albon missed the media pen because he reported himself to the medical centre after struggling to get out of the car. And he wasn't the only one to take themselves to the medical centre.

This mustn't be allowed to happen again. It could have easily been much worse than it was.

I guess in all seriousness it does go to show how much of top-level sports performance is all in the mind.
Considering there was no Marko comments its likely hes already gone if if they can replace him though is the question.

Just seen more video of Stroll. Unable to keep his head up while going down the straight, it's just lolling from side to side. Looks to be in a pretty bad way, not the my neck muscles have given out type of resting, but just flopping.

Also more of the post race video, his staggering in front of the ambulance, then it's assumed that he feints as a couple of Aston team members run over, and another one takes one of the cooling fans with the dry ice out of a sidepod and follows.

For what it’s worth I think the scenes at the end of that race were a disgrace, the teams have a duty of care as does the fia.

I agree there needs to be some kind of upper limit on the internal temperature of the cockpit and if a couple of cars hit it then the race should be red flagged

It'd be nice if this was the start of the end of all big-money sports spending so much time, effort and money in these morally-dubious, oil-rich desert umm.. places. But I'm sure Qatar will come back and suggest they'd be happy to install air-conditioning around the circuit or something equally as stupid - bad for the environment :o

lol. Bloody well said. How the FIA think they should be revisiting this I do not know. Absolute clowns.
How can they possibly calculate being a role model in their punishment decisions though?

Zhou is pretty much unknown to anyone outside of the sport in most of the world, but in China he's definitely a role model.

Sounds more like making it all up as they go along. Again.

Iirc he didn't cross the track, he walked round the cars towards an access road leading to pits. Had a quick look and can't find any video of him going across the track after that incident. Arguably he shouldn't have walked on the track but it's not really the same thing as crossing it. I'm sure there are many occasions of drivers walk along the track for a bit after getting out of a crashed/ broken car.

Crossing or not is irrelevant. The problem is being on track when it is active.

Sure, when the car has crashed on track and they need to go on the track in order to get to safety there is no problem. They're not expected to teleport from car to safety. The issue is situations like Max there or Lewis when he crossed the track where the driver has gone onto a live track without permission.
