Blaming Max for the other teams failings is one way of looking at it. Happens every year, one team gets it right and the others don't.Its the double benefit of being max.
He's so good in such a good car there really is no point. Makes total sense. If its inevitable, just let him go.
F1 would be a lot better to watch without max. That's not to take anything away from him, but it really would.
At the end of the day, the teams are fighting for the WCC and the resulting prize money, so throwing it down the drain in the sprint just isn't logical. As much as we'd all like to see some racing, McLaren aren't going to risk 4th.
