Looks like Nando could have given an extra foot or so, to be fair. Had he done so, they wouldnt have collided.
50/50 imo.

Pretty sure Alonso will get a penalty for that. Yes, Ocon slid a little at the apex but Alonso shouldn't have been in a place that turned it into a crash.
There was plenty of space. Ocon just lost it coming off the kerb.
Yeah. Actually looking again he could have been much more away from the racing line. You can tell by his immediate message he knows he’s at fault.
There clearly wasn’t “plenty” because Ocon had to make a little correction and thus they collided pretty heavily..

No, he hasn't. He's had a little moment. Nothing more. He doesn't lose the car until her collides with Alonso.

Ocon had to make the correction because the car let go on the kerb, collected that which probably pushed his line further right than he usually would go and Alonso turning left when he did they booped. i'd say 60 Ocon 40 Alonso, but Alsono really should have been further to the right way off line.

I wonder what they would do to work out the grid if say Piastri binned it on his lap potentially causing a stoppage/yellow flag, with not enough time remaining to get out and go again nobody would have been able to set a time because they all just sat in the pits for half the session.

Lando's face doesn't say he's very happy, think he knows the important pole was thrown away yesterday.
He probably doesn’t care much about the sprint either.

Yeah, this race is likely his best chance of a win without the unknown of last year and it just didn't work out yesterday. He made mistakes last weekend too where he could have had a better chance. It's coming, it needs to happen. I hope McLaren give him a race winning car next year because he's absolutely on form.
Hopefully Lando cleans up later and can at least get a top step trophy to match Piastri. Absolutely great seeing some competition up front through, either way.
