LOL Betfair Exchange says it all.

Max at 1.24:1 to win. Carlos Sainz at 13.5:1

I bet advertising revenue is falling off a cliff for F1. Anybody got viewing figures over the last year or so?

Did something happen on Lewis' final lap? He barely went faster than his q1 time which is very wierd. Basically everyone else improved a lot from q1.

Seems like he should have been closer to Max based on q1 and q2. Even Horner said they expected Lewis to be closest threat.

Maybe some hidden damage from the contact with George, beyond the front wing?

Edit: just found his interview. Said he fully expected front row but had a snap of oversteer at turn 10 which lost him a few tenths. Also said he thought the car was pulling to the right a bit after the collision. Shame.

At least the nonsense of commentators going on about perez having a shot at the WDC can stop now.

Gasley, so frustrating getting 2 pointless penalties. He seems to live spoiling his good days

Agreed. I switched off numerous races over that period; at least now we get to see other teams fighting.

Revenue for F1 is way up in general, especially with the push into the US.
I don’t see how it’s different other than it not being a contest between Verstappen and Perez.

Yeah at least Rosberg and Bottas kept Hamilton relatively honest through those periods. If he slipped up they would be there to take it off of him. Right now Perez is not doing that. People forget Hamilton’s consistency to take 7/8 world titles.

I’d imagine that most people have switched off due to Max, Horner, Helmut and co being thoroughly unlikeable. I mean, for what is essentially a British team I don’t know anyone that can stand them. I can’t imagine anyone other than the Dutch enjoy seeing Max on the podium week after week.

Yeh. It's a shame they are all quite obviously piece of **** human beings.

It wasn't just Rosberg and Bottas, Vettel was ahead of Hamilton at this point of the season in 2017 and 2018. In fact, Hamilton was behind at this point in almost every season he won. That may have evaporated through the season, but the WDC has rarely seemed as inevitable as it does this year this early in the season.

So (discounting reliability/rain etc) , Max will obviously win.

2nd place should be interesting though. If the Merc still has its race pace advantage against Ferrari, I think Lewis has a good shot at 2nd.

3rd place will likely go to Sainz.

This is assuming Perez doesn't suddenly remember how to drive again. In which case the dominance of the car might put him on the podium anyway.

Then I'm guessing maybe Alonso and Leclerc end up in the top 6 or so if their cars have been fixed.

Some of Norris, Stroll ,Russell, gasly and Ocon likely in the rest of the point scoring positions.
