Good qualifying today, a bit gutted for Lando but if he wants to prove he is championship material he needs to drop the emo act and pass people tomorrow.

Anyone know where we can find the speed trap data? I noticed in qualifying, when they showed the car speed data going down the straight in to T1, the Red Bulls were hitting 342kmh in clear air, while Ferrari were barely getting to 338. I don't remember seeing any other onboards.
It'll be interesting to see in the race if RB have sacrificed cornering speed to try and slingshot everyone on the straight.
 
Great qualifying.

Its nice to have a driver to support (piastri) when the team I support is just dire!
And glad he won't have to move over for team orders

Colipinto has surpassed Sargent already.. But no surprises there.

Leclerc doing really well. I can see Hamilton being pretty demoralised next year against leclerc.

Happy with the top 3.

Yellows are at the Marshall's discretion so technically any yellow thrown followed the rules :D. The Race have a nice explainer on what happened, looks like they felt the narrow blind corners at that point couldn't be safely covered by white flags. I think that was the right call, personally.

F2 time, they were fairly well behaved yesterday by their standards but I’m expecting some chaos today!

Edit: Massive crash at the start one car rolled! Everyone ok fortunately.

The previous iteration of the F2 car used from 2018 to 2023 was notorious for stalling, this new 2024 car was supposed to help change that.

Nasty accident that, good to see everyone's okay.

Seems stupid they’re shortening this race when the F1 isn’t until 2pm and there is no other support races today.

….Of course I checked the schedule and they have some prawn sandwich activities scheduled (paddock club pit walk etc) so of course those can’t be missed to give the plebs a bit of value for money :rolleyes:
