He is. He's an incredibly fast driver.

I'm mega impressed with McLaren's development. It's rare that you see a team go from being a back marker to snapping at the heels of the fastest car and winning races within a season or so.

Hopefully the McLaren has some race pace and we can see Lando and Max with some wheel to wheel. I saw that max got a big tow from hulk for his fast lap yesterday so the cope in me is coping that they might be pretty close performance wise…

Hopefully with his win now and an improved car he might actually bother racing Max rather than settling for second best after 3 laps like he used to!

I fear if Max gets away cleanly then this may be a little underwhelming.

PS: Am I going mad or were the quali and race times 4pm and 3pm respectively at some point? I swear the Google cal i subscribe to said that and I ended up missing quali yesterday. And I was all set for a 3pm race today. I swear the timings in the OP said the same too
