Piastri is still favourite to win, there's no way he hands that back without a fight.

If he can get anywhere near Norris; not showing it so far

Mclaren knows the fight is not in the drivers championship.

I don't think even Nostradamus can predict how the rest of this championship is going to go

Piastri isn’t close enough at all, McLaren should give up and take the blame.

Yeah, he just can't get closer to him

All this (ridiculous) talk about whether Max might go to Mercedes - listening in to that diatribe today, why would any team want such a petulant child? Yes he's quick but so are plenty of others in equal machinery and they don't treat the team like ****.

Because he's either the best or one of the top 2-3 drivers on the grid; and widely regarded as one of the best drivers ever in F1 so far.
You don't think Schumacher, Senna, Prost or Hamilton ever moaned?
I think its just because we hear a lot more of the radio now than we ever have in the past tbh.

Don't think I'm surprised anymore with FIA outcomes for Max. But I do think you're right @Malt_Vinegar that I think they look at outcomes from the incidents. In this case Max messed up his own race and Lewis managed to continue and hold position.

Shouldn't be that way but I do think a lot of the decision making is down to that.

I have to admit in a lot of cases I'm not in favour of "double penalties" for example lap 1 incident where someone arses up and loses their front wing and ends up at the back but doesn't impact whoever they made contact with.

They really need to draft in someone who likes a car that handles the way Max likes it; no idea if that's what Danny Ricc likes but there has to be a reason he seems to be at the forefront of Red Bull's list; because it can't be his performances.

DR hasn't done too bad recently, today he was affected to by a couple of weird team decisions that saw him to the back of the field but was able to recover and for a while was matching the pace in the top 5.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Max is going to join Merc. That team radio from red bull made it sound like they are tired of Max's antics. Max playing Iracing on its 24 hour event must really urk Christian.

I'm not sure about next season; there's been reports from some of the motorsport media that Marko has committed to a new deal with Red Bull guaranteeing he'll be there until the end of 2026 now, which means Max hasn't got an "out" for 2025 or 2026.
There also are suggestions that the "Helmut" clause in Max' contract has been re-negotiated to ensure that he can't walk in the event that Marko is absent due to illness/death (hardly unlikely with him being 81!)
