agreed - all about the celebs/money this race....

Pathetic
I'm not actually complaining. I'm perfectly happy with seeing a race in Monaco ever year. The issues are less with the track itself, more with the cars (size of them, DRS etc.).

I wonder if somebody might have said to Piastri that it'd be better to come home in second, rather than causing an accident and shunting off the local boy :o (I dont think Piastri is driving slow, just wondering)

I get all the history - I don't mind Monaco as a "spectacle" - I've watched for 30+ years but there are just too many boring races/tracks these days... This is another one. It's never going away, but something needed to "spice" it up a bit

Sainz needs to harass Piastri a bit more otherwise he's right.. Piastri might have a lunge on Leclerc.

Well that's my point. Let's do something about the cause of that (big cars, DRS etc.) rather than removing probably the best spectacle weekend of F1 (bar the racing, of course)

There haven’t been many genuine races (or at least opportunities for passes) here since the days of Senna.

Make them 300mm narrower, 1 meter shorter and reduce the grip levels while keeping the same power, might make it a bit more possible to pass.

Interesting to see Bottas just closing back up very quickly, after that tyre change. Absolutely nothing to lose for the back of the pack.
Will be interesting for pit stops when drivers can close 3-5sec a lap. This does feel worse than previous years though; I don’t remember this much management.

Were they this slow last year? It looks like there’s a virtual safety car with the speeds they’re doing right now.
Like a different formula of car compared to qualifying.

I guess it's due to the lap 1 red flag which means the top guys are all dawdling to make the hards go the full race.
