Stroll’s car was moving, it seems to me that they were waiting to see if Stroll could have moved his car to safety. No way Alonso’s would be moving anywhere, especially on a much faster part of the track.
I mean his rear wing was still on the side of the track, they shouldn't even want him to be driving around without one and also need to remove the debris.
 
German TV reporting that Stroll's red flag happened after 52 seconds.

So we have a broken car in the barriers and the track is wet, yeah, let's just let people go past a speed for almost a minute. After all what's the chance that another car will go off in the same place as this one? I mean, that's never happened at Interlagos before........

Would be interesting to see where LN was on the track map when the accident happened...

I’m not sure how they could see all that detail right away and immediately able to make a decision, compared to Alonso nose first into the barrier on a much faster part of the circuit.
 
Seems optimistic to have started qualifying 5 hours before in that case, given the conditions, as if it was ever likely to complete in an hour
Maybe they should have got the drivers up an hour earlier for qualifying. :cry:
