Should be an easy 1-2 tomorrow if McLaren qualify well, Ferrari look off pace and Red Bull will be slow on the Hard as usual.

Honestly can't believe it took that long to throw the VSC, car stuck at the side of the track and Hulk walking away from the car.

Drivers never hardly 'slow down and prepare to stop' for yellows/double yellows (Look at Bianchi, controversial but true). They just let off slightly as the FIA always seem happy with that.

Completely unnecessary to wait.

Had to wait for Mclaren to do the switch didnt they

Didn't Max break the rule that was implemented because of his previous habit of pulling alongside another car still under SC? i.e. they are supposed to stay in formation / a line

Does that apply to the VSC as well as the SC?

I think he'll be fine, he still had a buffer to Leclerc so it would need to be pretty significant penalty.

*Edit* Read the timings wrong so maybe he isn't safe

Looking at that replay, Verstappen's fine, as long as he didn't go below the minimum time for that sector. But, if the flags went green in the middle of a sector, the delta should not apply.

i think it all comes down to how far alongside Max was, and how far alongside the rules say he can be. I can't find the visual document from the FIA but i'm sure i've seen a diagram of what is allowed and what isn't and did his delta keep under the required delta time

Loved it as they crossed the line.

Norris got a chequered flag, Piastri didn't , Verstappen did....

Didn't miss much. Not much happened. Biggest thing was if mclaren would mess up the switch

This has been happening for decades Its ultimately a team sport not an individual one.

I know it's a team sport and that it was inevitable that they'd switch positions later in the race if they were still 1-2....

But it really sucks to see it, nobody won today.
