Well, seeing that second practice time, I think it's done and dusted. Easy pole and race win for Alonso. There's no way the outcome will be any different. [/blindAlonsofanboy]

Sainz is out for the weekend as he requires surgery for appendicitis, Ollie Bearman is in!
This is all I want. Max can win every other race for the rest of the year, as long as I get an Alonso P1.
That's a shame after such a good performance last weekend, hopefully he recovers quickly.
Shame for Carlos but huge opportunity for Bearman, although he was on pole for the F2 so probably a little gutted about that!

Haven't seen Ham's lap but Bearman 0.024 down on Lewis and 0.050 up on Russell.

Hey, just a comment on what I expected Ferrari to do. If they’ve let Gio go and don’t have anything else, that’s it.
Actually they do have Robert Swarzman so maybe they couldn’t get him here in time.

I think perhaps I wasn't clear: I meant why wouldn't Ferrari see what Bearman can do. An old hand would just be there to fill time and deliver a result; putting Bearman in let's them assess a promising future driver.
They'll need someone when Lewis retires.
To be fair Shwartzman isn't much more experienced than Bearman anyway, seems to be the way of it these days - Merc probably have the most experienced reserve with Mick actually.
