**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

Got my Gigabyte windforce 7970 Ghz edition :)
Must say so impressed with the build quality and look of the card.
Out of the box it's very quick, tried a little overclocking and managed 1200/1600 stable with no problems.
Only problem i do have is after upgrading to windows 8, my scores in heaven and 3dmark11 have all dropped a fair bit :(
But still chuffed to bits with the card.

LtMatthew said Windows 8 improved all his scores over Windows 7. Strange.

I know that's the strange thing,
I'm finding it much better than win7 in terms of responsiveness etc,
Just my scores have dropped a fair bit on benchmarks Eg:
CPU is overclocked exactly the same as on windows 7 (4.6@23)
New GPU is overclocked exactly the same as on windows 7 with the recently DSR'd Sapphire 7970(1200/1600)
On windows 7 i scored 11533 for the gpu and both cpu scores were around 4500.
On windows 8 i scored 11280 for the gpu and both cpu scores are around 4150-4300.
Little more digging is needed i think, can't test any games at the moment as i have none downloaded.
Seems like the cpu is holding back my card though, but i can't think of anything i've missed.

This thread is making me want an unlocked CPU..

Must....resist... My fiancee would have my nuts in a sling :D

Bit pointless just for some benchmarks really.
