Guys, has anyone had their PC pretty much freeze/crash when using 3DMark? I'm not sure if it's to do with beta 13.10 drivers? The minute I click onto start 3dmark, it says please wait and then my PC becomes unresponsive.

I load up Vantage and it just says GUI Initializing and the same freeze/crash.

AMD issue?

I had 3dm11 exit to desktop on friday night whilst running it. I was trying to run +700 on my gpu's memory. Program simply closed with some pop up message. Cant remember what it was, but going back to previous stable clocks it completed fine.

Well I formatted my hdd today and completely reinstalled Windows 8, the issue is still there, Bizarre!

Google doesn't shed any light neither. No idea what it's not liking.

Does the whole computer freeze or does 3dmark just stop working?

Also, for all of you. What do you reckon is safe 24/7 voltage for an 3930k C2? I could do 5GHz 24/7 at 1.42-1.43v. But paranoia and fear of degradation keeps me from doing it :(. Also, what about IMC volts? VTT and VCSSA or whatever its called. Inform me please.

My sig says i run 5GHz but i dont, i was thrilled i could do 5GHz at such low voltages so i changed it assuming i would run it at that, but then someone told me about these chips degrading, safe voltages etc etc. So its really at 4.7 1.29v. I saw your prebuilt systems that have oced 3930ks to minimum 4.9GHz. Do you account for degrading too? Or am i just too paranoid about it?

Not that much

I use 1.25v for 24/7 @4.0

I could probably get mine to run higher at 1.25v but 4.0ghz is plenty for me most of the time.

One thing that is very important, avoid high temps as this is the real killer.

My temps never go over 67-68c while priming at 5GHz 1.42v. My 1080 Nova is massive overkill.
