**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

I think it's something to do with Gpu tweak pal, seems to mess up my cpu score on both this and firestrike.

Nah, I think it is the system that does it.

I could get higher GPU scores with the system on a lower CPU clock. When I put 5.1 on my CPU, again the GPU score lowers. Unless you are 8 pack with extreme cooling, it is a trade off.

That's a ****er then, because you're only getting slightly higher than stock 4770k physics scores.

Different system etc, but i get 11200 for stock+turbo 4770k and over 13k for an overclocked 4770k (4.9Ghz) Does lowering the clock give you more or less, or just not tried?

Well it's not Gpu tweak, on afterburner now and it's still happening:(

Never happened on windows 8, only seems to happen on 8.1.

All day i've tried narrowing it down, removing programs that may be causing it but so far no luck.

I've ran Cinebench 15, Pi 1.5 mod, and all my scores/times are brilliant and the same as they were on Windows 8.

Maybe it's a driver issue on the chipset side i don't know.

I'll try putting cpu back to stock and compare with your score tonester.

Be back in a second.

That is pretty strange. Was your physics scores broadly similar before you had the 290X? Or is it just since installing?

The only thing it could be is if your ram is somehow running single channel, but even then i wouldn't of thought that would drop off 2k physics score compared to mine. Though ignoring that, you did say all the other benchmarks put you inline with the other 4770ks, just 3D11 being a ****!

Ram is reported as dual on Cpu-z, it's a recent thing, my cpu scores while running windows 8 for 3dmark firestrike are inline with others at my speed i think.

13120 physics score is around what i got on it, Firestrike that is, but this issues happens now in that too, both firestrike and 3dmark11 give me much lower scores that they should be, driving me crazy because everything is working fine, great fps in all games.

Just these benchmarks aren't playing nice, which is a real headache because i do love to bench..

More digging needed but i'm lost as to where to look, would pagefile effect it?

I reduce mine to 1024min/2048max, i'll let the system manage it and see if it does anything.

OK my first post on bench stuff like this so if i get anything wrong don't kill me :)

4770k @ 4.4
R9 290X ref air cooler @ 1150 / 1550

P15404 with AMD Radeon R9 290X(1x) and Intel Core i7-4770K

Graphics Score
17356

Physics Score
11882

Combined Score

If i push it any more i get artifacts on the screen so that's not cool i think i need to up the volts but worried to push it past 1.375 on air any more on the gpu core and the screen goes all funny anyone got any tips or just get it under water asap ?

All updated and welcome to the thread Don :) Nice score as well.

How are your CF 290X's running Darket? Do they throttle?

Well it depends , for benching i run a 100% fan profile with an 80c thermal target , so no problems with throttling so far

For gaming i just run stock in quiet mode , i havent found anything that even taxes this setup yet , i'm running 1440p with v-sync enabled (where i can) and even if the cards are throttling i havent noticed yet , or more to the point it hasnt had any negative effect on my framerates yet.

however i'm yet to run bf4 so we'll see how it goes.
