**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

Scores added guys :)

Nice GFX Score Nick and Lukext. Mathematics, I feel there is something wrong with that score in a big way bud. GPU score and Physics score needs a boost and start by getting that CPU overclocked and you will see the gains in games.

I'm working on it but have a list of problems, mainly GPU. Regarding CPU, I haven't been able to get more than 4.75ghz stable with 1.48v and 64'C package temp with a H100i push/pull, settled for 4.6ghz with 1.465v and 62'C package, funny thing is though I can get it stable @4.4ghz with 1.400v with load package low 50's.

Ah well it's a learning experience, first build...

Sorry to double post this and this is not an entry from me Greg.

@Mathmatics

You should be looking at around 20K stock score with a 7990 @1000/1500, assuming the card is not throttling, which it won't if you use my custom bios. I just noticed your cpu, not sure how much part that will play in your lower score. However i still think your score is much lower than it should be.

P16737 with AMD Radeon HD 7990(2x) and Intel Core i7-2700K Processor
Graphics Score 20436
Physics Score 11649
Combined Score 9832

Replied in 7990 owners mate.

AMD Radeon R9 290 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4770K,ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. MAXIMUS VI IMPACT

Folks, I just did a run at 4.5GHz (Crossfire 280X).
Im getting 15555, doesn't make sense to me. Im using the latest Beta drivers from AMD (13.11). Could that be the culprit?

As the first 290(i think) to post on this bench, I tried to do some testing.

2600k @ 4.3
r9 290 @ 1050/1350

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7587542
Score: 12367
Graphics: 15242
Physics: 8029
Combined: 7709

Hmm. Reviews at stock had this thing running at least 12800+ at stock. (although admittedly with the 3000/4000 series CPU.) As there are not many benches here using the 2600k, I don't have much of a comparison. I would have assumed this overclock would make it even higher, as mine doesn't reach that at stock.

Edit: I wanted to look at if adding a power limit at stock makes a difference. Here is as above, with stock 290 clocks and stock power.

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7587645

11669
Graphics Score 13863
Physics Score 8070
Combined Score 7690

Now here is stock clocks with +50% power limit in AB.

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7587609

11666
Graphics Score 13873
Physics Score 8033
Combined Score 7702

The only difference at higher power limit was the physics and combined changing very slightly, probably normal variation. The fans also were unexpectedly noticeably louder with the higher power limit, for no overall score gain. My AB OSD wasnt working for this (should/can it?) so I don't know if the core clock is throttling either at stock or overclocked.

I then tried to overclock to 1100/1300, which was the highest i could get it before artifacting during firestrike, and even then don't feel entirely comfortable doing, but its a quick bench right? I wouldn't consider this a 24/7 OC. :P

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7587734

12617
Graphics Score 15768
Physics Score 8011
Combined Score 7711

These results could tell me a few things.

1. My r9 290 isn't quite as good as the review ones. (maybe?)
2. This test is more CPU dependent on the final score than other benchmarks.
3. There was about a 2% increase in overall score from the overclock at 1050/1350 to 1100/1300.
4. % Increase from stock with stock power to 1100/1300 scores were 8% overall, ~14% increase GFX score, no increase physics, and negligible increase in combined.
5. My score is probably to be expected considering my CPU? (Advice?)
6. Looking at pulse's 2600k @5ghz with a 7970 results (http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7582092) and comparing the graphics scores, i suppose with such a high OC on both gpu and cpu, to be expected.

Thanks. Just thought someone might find it interesting how a 290Pro reference would perform.

EDIT: Do you guys need some GPUZ links?

No Sacrifice, that is cool. I just need the 3DMark link always and anything else you add is a bonus :)

Edit:

I will update these tomorrow but stuck doing all updates after a fresh windows botched install :(

I also have a few questions for either Gibbo, or anyone who knows the following.

How did you get it to overclock by so much? Also were you using stock cooler? At 1100 mine starts to artifact, I think due to overheating. Does the cpu being so much better than my 2600k mean the scores would be so different, or the +2000 graphics score contribute more?

Also I have just spotted in gpuz, shouldn't the stock core clock say 947, instead of 1000?

Pretty sure Gibbo was using an aftermarket cooler for his? Also all cards clock differently, some don't scale with voltage, some do hence some being pretty poor clockers and others being tidy. Luck of the draw unfortunately.

Thought so. I was using stock voltage. I don't know if artifacting can be solved by an increasing voltage? But then the temps would increase I guess, so the error may still remain.

Put the fan at 100% and try to maximize your voltage.

With ambient < 20c I did this http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=25395607&postcount=4185

Gibbo has flash the card to 290X thats why you see 1000 as default clock.

MSI Afterburner only allows up to 1.3mv, how do you guys go beyond this? Do you use something else?

Also in CCC there is "power control settings" What is that about?
