Impressive volts though. My 2500K is on 1.32v for 4.6. I am looking forward to seeing how the 3930K fairs and will only be changing when I get the water cooling on the go (which also scares the begeezus outta me).

The amount of volts you require for each multiplier jump on Ivy from x44 onwards is ludicrous.

4.6 on Ivy is roughly equivalent to 5.0 on Sandy (like for like) so 4.7 on air ain't too bad allbeit not the best. It just seems like my chip is golden until it goes above 4.4 and then it's dog.

Wow thats a decent price for that RAM. I've had Geil before so i know its a good brand.

Well i guess i cant compare then as my Vengeance 1600 CL8 wont clock to 2133 but i can do 1866 with it. Do u think its worth me picking up 8GB's of the Samsung Green for my system? I'd love to max out to 2133 on my Sandy if i can overclock it that much.

Oh and i have a friend who works at Intel and he tells me he has a 3770K @ 5.2GHz on a Corsair H70 and hits around 65c. I think he has a special Ivy in his rig ;)

Not possible without reapplying the TIM. Golden chip or not :). Water or gigantic heatsink it makes next to no difference as the contact isn't there from the chip and the heat spreader.

There'll be no improvement in performance in games so it's up to you if you wanna upgrade or not. With the price of 2133 RAM now there's no real reason to buy into 1600 unless it's cheaper but if you've already got some 1600 I wouldn't bother.

I got mine cheapish off the MM. :D
