**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

Aye, but about overclocking. I will do it eventually. But for right now in sto and arma 2 i am playing these games at pretty high settings and plays wonderfully at 60fps at 1080p so im not needing a overclock just now. So duno when i will get around to it but i will and at that time i will be back and hoping to get around 6500 score or better.

I dont know if this score matches my PC spec, Ive seen scores much higher then this with the same pc spec.

Graphic Score 10242

Physics Score 13834

Combined Score 9572

What you think guys, good! or can be improved any further? GPU is the MSI Lighting 7970

Thanks in advance!

Hehe, one point lower than my 7950 TF3 (for graphics score). Mine was at 1250/1700, so since you have a 7970 you should be around 5% faster at the same clocks. You had a higher core speed of 1275, but only 1500 memory, so perhaps overclock the memory to the same as mine or higher, because you should be able to get faster than mine with the same clocks. What voltage did you need for 1275 MHz core by the way? Shouldn't have told you, now you're going to beat me :p

@Nuclear.. dude u got me beat good style as theres no way im gona get 1250 on this core :) good job and u have a nice overclocker.

So i tried 1200 but was getting artifacts and that was after reading about Rusty and the house fan ( cheers for the tip ;) ) so i pulled mine out to see what i was able to achieve.

I guess i answered my own question on 'is artifacting the limit for an overclock' cuz now with the house fan blowing into the case i can get 1175 on the core.. up from 1150 :)

My new score & settings.

Sapphire 7950 Dual-X on Official 12.9 Beta drivers.. [email protected] /[email protected] with max GPU temp of 63c on 100% fan ( plus house fan blowing onto the gpu :D )

i7 2700K @ 5.0GHz
Corsair Vengeance 1600 CL8 RAM @ 1866 (9-10-9-27-1T)

Got my highest Physics score here too so im pretty pleased with this result :D

Will post a screenshot of my gpu-z in a bit as Imgur is having uploading issues atm.

Yeah, I'll admit that my good score is more down to getting a good chip from the silicone lottery than indicative of any overclocking skills. I'm just waiting for a cold winter day so I can try and get 1300 MHz. I was thinking about trying to get past 11k graphics score, but I think I'd need 1350 MHz to do that, which probably isn't achievable without watercooling. Might try the house fan method with some ice blocks in front of it, 100% fans, side panel off and all windows open on a -5C day. That should get me some nice results :)

@PGI947 how did you manage such a high score, is your system all water cooled.

I cant seem to get in to the 11's:(

As I mentioned before, I think you'd get a big boost from memory overclocking, because your core is 25 MHz more than mine, plus you are using a 7970 yet yours is still 1 point lower than my 7950. The only thing higher on mine is the memory clock, so I think you are probably held back by memory bandwidth atm.

Well we might get -20c this coming winter again like a few years ago but i think i had enough of this bench now and gona work on my Heaven.. i got 1996 on a quick run last night after doing the 3DMark11 bench run so if i can hit the 2000 on Heaven i'll be happy with that result too :)

I'd like to see u run Heaven with that 1250 core Nuclear.. i wana bet u get artifacts ;)

Yeah, the problem is the Heaven bench is longer so I'm more cautious about temps (-20c day would come in very handy :)). I posted my first score on that thread ages ago and it still hasn't been put onto the scoreboards, let alone my updated scores (only ran at 1100/1575) whereas Gregster updates this thread much faster. The other problem is that the Heaven bench is more liable to tweaking settings, enabling Virtu MVP etc.
But I might try it at 1250/1700 if we get a colder day :)

Its too obvious when MVP is enabled.. people cant get away with it.. its that simple :)

As for the scoreboard dlknight does do the updates but just not as often.. every week or 2 from what i see but he will read through all the posts :)

It would be good if there was a simple validation thingy like 3DM11, it makes it very simple to prove whether a score is valid or not. But I will try and get highest 7950 on that as well some time :)

Just had a quick search on the owner of the fastest 7950 in Heaven and it seems that Lord_ZED has a VTX 7950 X-Edition @ 1225/1675 on a 2500K@5ghz + Asus Maximus V + 8gb HyperX.

Maybe u has a good chance of beating him :) Just beat his score of 2073 :D

Edit.. yes i too wish there was a website like Futuremark for the Heaven results.

Edit 2.. just noticed he has an EK GPU full cover stated in his sig :)

The cpu and gpu are yes, vrms and memory to follow. Managed 1345/1970 on the card, I may have to scale the memory back and retest though, 8 pack pointed out to me that the memory may throttle above 1900 as I found out with stuttering at 2000mhz. If you can clock your lightning as high as the one I have you should smash my P score with the 3930k.

To get higher clocks you need to be under water though, especially at 1.362/1.7v
