I personally think with improvements, Lucid will be a very good thing.

The cards are, the GPU is only at 4.6 and its running with well over 100 processes on the go - i only got the 3rd card hooked up today so still a lot of tweaking to be done

I thought there was some problem with them running at PCI-E 3.0 on X79 with Nvidia cards? And you needed to hack it...

Where your 3rd card is running x8 on PCI-e3 it should be fine but there may be a bit of a drop @PCI-e2. It would be interesting to see what the difference is.
