Also, to note (in case anybody thinks it is), I bought the 3930K as I am bottlenecked in some games with 2x680's @ 5760*1080. In BF3 for example, my GPU's will only run to a max of 85%. This isn't so much a problem I couldn't live with but I am a big FSX fan (thanks to Soya's amazing pics) and it runs like a dog with any kind of settings maxed. After investigation, it runs very nicely on the 3930K chip and as I see one for sale in the MM at a fair price, I bought it :)

I set this thread up for comparisons and a bit of banter between forum users. I feel it does that, as when you look at the GPU scores only, most of the time it is like for like but when you look at the "P" scores, there can be massive differences because of CPU's.

Anybody wishing to upgrade can now see what to expect and can ask the person who posted a relevant score questions, which may help.

Tempted to go down a similar route as you with the 3930 all be it without the water cooling as I don't have the patience or the time for it. Look forward to reading your thoughts on it once your all set up.

I have not given it a serious go but I will next time im off work. The one run I did was with both cards in place and overclocked which limited me to the worse overclocker. The graphics score I got was the worst of any of the GTX 690s but the CPU put me in front. A very distorted score indeed.

I think the GPU score is pretty darned good for 2 GPU's on 1 PCB. I will hold off posting that result till you have the score you want posted :) (unless you want that score added of course).

Nice Cpu btw! and your memory clocks well. What was your core clock on that run?

Added your scores and personally I feel that 690 score (all of them in fact) are superb. Look back at the old 590's scaling and you will see what I mean. The Mars cards were 2 full 580 GPU's on 1 PCB and look at the price of those.
