To be fair with the clocks hes running i should be no where near him. If i give my cards any more volts my 750W PSU will take early retirement. However i have memory overclock to play with. Time to put the 512bit bus to use.

I just realized how slow 780s are compared to 290s clock for clock.

This is probably the fairest benchmark. Heaven and Valley favour Nvidia too much because of the tessellation.
I honestly dont know how that works and why the 780s beat 290s in valley and heaven. Help me understand!

Yea i know it favors Nvidia, but why? What makes Nvidia cards run better on it?
Idk, GK104s where pretty pathetic at Valley and Heaven. So i have no idea.

I'm well out of my depth here but are the 290's not much hotter running cards? So while the 780 might need to clock higher to get similar score, there's more room because they run much cooler???
I think I'm about 20th or something in the Heaven benchmark with a score of 1745 which I don't think your 290 can compete with. This bench seems to love a good CPU which is where unfortunantely my 2500k is holding me back a little

You need 150-250mhz core advantage to beat a 290. Which is hard to do even on 780 Classifieds lol (Unless you're 8pack and got ln2)
And my 290 really isnt running hot, its under water
