**Official 3DMark 'Fire Strike' Leaderboard**

Scores added and not happy about seeing your CPU information still missing Matt. You are shutting off processes that could be seen to give you an unfair advantage. I will have a think on allowing the score to stand. I put it down to a bug on your system before but a new system and still doing it is breaching the fair play rules as I see it.

It's because i use diagnostic mode in Win 8.1. If i use normal mode i get a time measurement error so I'd rather use diagnostic mode and stop all the bloat services i have running on my pc. It's been like this for almost a year now since ive been using Windows 8 and never been a problem until now. I'm not about to install another OS just to get put on a leaderboard for fun.

Fair enough. That is your choice to do and everyone else runs the bench as should be, so I see it as gaining an advantage unfairly.

I had that matt like i said previously, just use selective start up and disable 100% ones you dont need,
Fax
Audio
Print spooler
Security centre
Firewall

Theres a few more but cant remember without looking, tbh the point gain is minimal.

The timeout error won't show if you disable the CPU info and this allows overclocking the BCLK to a point that HWBot would deem your score as invalid. I am not saying you are cheating but it is a way of cheating and this opens up a can of worms I would rather not be a part of.

I will do it next time i run it but i normally get time measurement errors when i do nothing but run normal mode which is why i started using diagnostic mode in the first place.

Windows 8 has a glitch that allows overclocking the BCLK so that 1 second become 1.5 seconds (theoretical), so when the Time Measurement error shows, it could also be linked to the BCLK being overclocked. Clearly you would get more frames and a higher score if the time is slowed down. By disabling the CPU info, the time measurement error will not show because it is being bi-passed.

I overclock via the turbo multiplier ,though i have used the strap but I've not run any benches using it yet as I've not got the overclock stable.

Basically it was/is something that can be that easily manipulated in benchmarks (even by accident!) that HwBot decided to just outright ban Windows 8/8/1 and server 2012 from benchmarking anything other than 3DMark - provided you deliver a valid link on sysinfo 4.2 or higher, it wouldn't be validated without all of the CPU info either unfortunately.

BUT this isn't HwBot, so I would say what does/doesn't stand should be at the discretion of the thread creator/manager.

Edit: Physics scoring range looks about right

What do you roughly gain by doing this in points. Or what do you gain points on?

In defence of Matt (still down to OP whether the score stands)
His physics looks spot on for the clock (i got about 18400 for 5.1, using a 30k) his graphics score is inline with Kaaps (roughly 8% slower, similar clocks)

It's true, I had a spaz out in Physics tests this one time where it managed 85fps for a second or two, but it knew full well something was up. The error checks are there for good reason to be fair.

I don't think Matt is cheating but that's not the point
