I could get more from my cpu, i reckon 5.2ghz is possible, possibly 5.3ghz. I could maybe get another 5mhz from the core of my gpu. Either way those won't add too much to my score. Probably not enough to move me up any more places. Its nice to see my £360 7950's beating stock 780's, no doubt costing two-three times more.

Ran it before sending it back,

got a score of 8260 using the MSI 280X OC Edition.
clock were 1150/1700 i think.

Seems following stulids post it's been corrected.

From what i saw though i wasn't that impressed, at least not with the card i had.

Don't get me wrong it's a fast card @stock and overclocked i can't see them struggling much with games maxed out @ 1080P.

Maybe i was being naive, but i expected a little bit more even from a basic refresh.

My money is either going on a 290X or a 780 lightning now, depends what the reviews/ user experience show on here.

I just hope a few people drop out of the pre order so i can get mine ordered friday if all is well.

Maybe the 280X hadn't been registered yet and hence being picked up as a 7970. All good but does seem to be nothing different except for this boosting now.

Just noticed 3DMark is reading my ram as : 8,192 MB Corsair DDR3 @ 667 MHz

Anyone else get this?
