That's rubbish bud, can't you just go into a gym under the pretence that you'd like a look around the facilities, then when out of eye-sight blast out a quick 500m on the rower? haha

Good effort, think anything in the 1.40 range is respectable tbh.
Definitely, took me a good 2 years to get under 1:40, then 5 years to get under 1:30
Thinking about it, I think I can to 1000 in just over 5 minutes, have done it a couple of times as a warmup.
So that's 2:30.
