Decent overclock from Guru by the look of it

Have any of the reviews started out with the 7970 overclocked?

You know, like fairly?

Basically the 680 is overclocking itself. So it's a bit of a rough comparison if the 7970 is at stock clocks.

Any one know of a review that starts out with the Radeon at 1125?

Just curious to know what's in it when the Radeon is sporting the same kind of boosts.

That's not relevant for these reviews Andy, they are reviewing the stock cards like for like.

Some then look at overclocking and I'm sure we'll see o/c 7970 vs o/c 680 but at launch you are mainly going to see stock cards against stock cards.

I agree Andy, when the dust settles I think overclocked the 7970 will have the edge and at stock it has plenty of headroom for AMD to come back at Nvidia.

Not taking anything away from Nvidia though, the 680 is a nice card, just a shame most UK retailers aren't taking notice of the RRP, it's basically more expensive than 7970

bloody hell, it's faster than the 7970 and uses less power..... is this right

this means at a much lesser price that it's close to the MSI LIGHTNING, this changes everything....but it only has 2GB ram

At stock this is correct, it's a great card.

What remains to be seen is how well they clock in reality, this boost tech has muddied the waters I think
