Just ordered myself one of these on the final AMD Friday offer, OCUK estimate delivery on Monday so cant wait to get it set up.

What is a good starting point for OC ing these for a absolute noob? After a quick skim of this thread it seems like 1100 is a nice sweet spot for these cards, if that the case what is the simplest way of achieving that.

Thanks for starting this thread as it will make it much easier for me to tweak my card without doing harm. I have never really done much Ocing with my GPUs over the years as the system balance has meant it would have very little impact.

I don't intend to do anything much at the mo, as I need to improve my case cooling and I am still running a 1680*1050 screen but being able to reduce voltage and temps will be a very welcome first step.

I will confess that I had to google ASIC and how to find the reading, which led me to discover my card has a value of 60.8. I guess that means I won't be getting a record overclock from it :D but that doesn't matter. Hopefully I will have time over the weekend to try some tweaking.

Catalyst control centre is the software that comes with the drivers. Load it and move the sliders towards the desired point. Easy!

Anyone gone from a 7850 to a 7950? wondering what the jump is like

Did it this week in anticipation for rome 2 and bf4. With my 7850 i played at 1080p ultra shadows high and msaa off. I got 60-70fps avg but saw drops in intense scenes to 35 occasionally. 7950 avg 80-100 added 2x msaa and it may have dropped into the 50s once or twice but a much more stable avg and it means with bf4 hopefully will just remove aa to get 60 in ultra! My 7950 is at 1100 core and my 7850 was at 1050.

Just installed my new card - REALLY impressed! It's lowered my CPU temperature by a few Celsius, and performs brilliantly! Maxes out BF3 on multiplayer using Ultra preset, and maxes out Planetside 2 on Ultra too.

Overclocked to 1100/1400 right off the bat and played perfectly for the time I tried it. Gonna tweak it some more tomorrow, wanna play some games for now!

I'm thinking of buying 2 more of these to go Tri-Fire.
Does anyone know how well they scale in Tri-fire?

And yes, I am aware that the cooler is 2½ slots wide and no I'm not happy about it. However I think you may be able to set the R IV E up so that it leaves 3 slots between cards.

Also, I am planning on WCing the cards if I can find the blocks at a decent price and without some ****** square and circle **** on it, because as I think we all know, the cooler is not quiet once the fan gets to around 40% or higher.

Also, do the latest AMD driver fix the frame-pacing with 3 cards?

Im also running 1100/1400. Seems like a nice, stable overclock and performs perfectly in any game I have played so far.

Really happy with this card :)
