**Official Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI NF650i Owners Thread**

Ok,

Well after trying both v11 and v12, fastest FSB I can get is 1200Mhz (300x4) giving me 2.7Ghz

Back to version 10 and straight in at 1422 Mhz (355 x 4) for 3.2Ghz

Anyone else tried OCing with the newer version?

1600x9 for me, doesn't seem any different in the fact i can't lower any voltages and still seems a bit iffy with my memory.
mem 2.3v 1000 (auto 5-7-7-23)
seems more stable than when its @ 800 (4-4-4-12 or 5-5-5-15)

Got hold of a L632B CPU which shows further improvement on this board.
Although stable i won't be running at this speed as temps are a little on the high side.
Seems to hang around low to mid 50's - load but after checking logs it did peak @ 65c.
Also getting 1 or 2 cold start probs needing a reset and then to reset bios FSB settings. (this is with latest bios 12)

L636B i had was giving me the following with 1.550v vcore set in bios (1.52v load)
Temps were a fair bit lower on 36B even though slightly more voltage.

"chipper36....what cooling do you have m8 ?
Those are pretty good temps you got there !"

Tuniq Tower and a fair few case fans.

"65c is perfectly safe btw, Ive been there and above since xmas, 24/7"

yeah i probably could run it with them temps and lower vcore a bit further too.
had it booted @ 3.8GHz earlier with 1.550v (bios) and could run Super-PI 32m test ok but orthus failed around the 1 minute mark.

These 32B stepping chips seem pretty decent anyway :)

Sounds great, 3.8 is very good.

1min orthos is stable enough to run just about anything in my experience. On the other hand Ive heard people say they run orthos for 5 hours and it still randomly fails.
Even a program at 100% using both cores wont stress like orthos does so 1 min is enough imo. Its not like you'd really notice a couple hundred mhz for every day use though really

lol yeah must admit i am getting a little bored running orthus over and over again (need an excuse to stop it).
when i was @ 3.8 i noticed my idle temps were way up around 40c but all over the place. only tried running 1 super-pi @32m and temps were under 50c.
I might lap the cpu if i can be bothered, not too sure if it would improve it as this chip looks a lot flatter than my 36B i had.

hi all i have just got rid of my ASUS P5N-E SLI well 2 of them both bad so i am geting this it looks ok has some good points that i like but it also has some of the problems the first one has

I'll give you a week to get the P5N-E SLi out again. :D

no it one hell of a bad board its made by getting cheap parts and its support is well there is none

i was told by asus to take off my bios chip they got me to pay for one to be sent from the USA so i did even though i told them it don't come off

and i have had 2 more that have just not worked

last one well it just would not boot

fans spin yea but no beep for no video or mem and no output to monitor

so if this one don't work it mean i wont be keeping it but it do not mean i will go back to asus well the one thats made by bluepeter :/

i would not go back to that board till they it out

board i have now works well and it still needs a new bios imo but all the board with this chipset are not as good as they could be

I am having a few problems with the nvidia sata drivers.

Can someone that has had no problems with sata drivers double click on the Nvidia nForce Serial Ata Controller and post a pic so I can see if its the same as mine when I open the properties.

Does the below look right?
