Official Animal Crossing Wild World Thread (***INFO/SPOILERS***)

Since Animal Crossing Wild World (NDS) is fast approaching European release date, i thought those of us with import copies could post some useful information, both for imports and for people buying european release version.

TOP TIPS

1) Once a day, one rock will give out up to 8000 Bells. Method of doing this is blocking the way behind you with 1 hole, then hitting the rock in front of you. The hole behind stops you going backwards and if money comes out the rock proceed to whack as fast as you can (money is timed), the more times you hit the more money comes out :)

2) Get new fruit without visiting other players villages. Get letters and send one to each of your villagers with one of your native fruit. If your lucky, at least one villager should hopefully send you back a different fruit.

3) There should be 3 bags of Bells and 3 lots of furniture hidden in trees each day, but watch out for bees.

4) If you see a UFO flying in the air, shoot it down and meet Gulliver :)

5) Make sure you check the recycle bin in the Town Centre before 6pm on Mondays/Thursdays as that's when it gets emptied, you'll often find some decent furniture in there.

6) To guarantee getting a fruit tree growing, chop down a plain tree in your village and dig up the stump but don't fill in the hole. Plant your fruit there and tree is guaranteed to grow properly.

NOOKS SHOPS

Nook's Cranny (Sell/Buy Items to Value of 25,000 Bells to Upgrade)
Nook 'n Go (Sell/Buy Etc to 65,000)
Nookways (Sell/Buy Etc to 240,000 AND need outside player to buy from)
Nookington's (Best of the Best, 2 floors and a hairdressers!)

HOUSE EXPANSIONS

Your first house costs 19,400 Bells.

Your second house expansion costs 120,000 Bells.

Your third house expansion costs 298,000 Bells.

Each of these merely expands the first floor of your house. The next
expansion will give you a new floor!

Your fourth house expansion costs 598,000 Bells.

After this expansion, you will have three floors. The attic remains the room
with your bed and telephone but now it will be found on the third floor.

When you pay off your existing mortgage of 598,000 Bells, Tom first will tell
you that you now have too much furniture and not enough space for it, and will
offer to take anything you do not need off your hands. Then, however, he will
declare:
'But that won't do, will it? I guess we have no choice but to add another
room! Of course, doing so will involve the purchase of additional land...
But looking at your payment history, I can see there's no worry there. So,
would you like to add a room to your home?'

Your fifth house expansion costs 728,000 Bells.

When it is completed, Tom Nook will inform you that 'You have an additional
room on the first floor, making it 20% more livable!' The room, in fact, will
be to the left of the main room on the first floor.

Your sixth expansion costs 848,000 Bells.

When it is completed, you will find that you have another room to the right of
the main room on the first floor.

When you have paid off this enormous sum, you may think that you have the
largest possible mansion, but this is not the case. Tom Nook will say:

'Thanks! Thanks much! Once again, you've paid off all the debt on your
house. Thank you very, very much!
It didn't take you long at all! You must have excellent motivation... Don't
tell me... You still don't have enough room! Madness! Well, the only option
is to add yet another room to your house. Yes.

'Of course, there is the cost of land and construction... And it's so
expensive, your heart may stop when you see the price. Ho ho! But who
cares! Shall we do it anyway?'

Your options:

I suppose...
Please! NO!

If you decide you want to go into debt once again to Tom Nook, choose 'I
suppose...' and you will find yourself with yet another room on the ground
floor. This one will be directly north of your main room.

Tom Nook will tell you:

'Welcome! Yes, welcome! The remodel of your home is complete! Have you seen
it? Tell me you have! It's three stories, now, and the first floor is
absolutely gigantic, hm? You will find no house more gorgeous than this! So
big! So glorious!
So, on to the price... No, I want you to know I'm taking a huge loss on
this. I'm bleeding money, hm? It comes to the low, low, price of... 9,480
Bells!.

'Whoops! I'm sorry. I'm off by just a smidgen. Ho ho! You work hard,
Freya. You can afford... 948,000 Bells!'

'And just so we're clear on this, I cannot expand your house any more. Not at
all. No, no! You'll have to be happy with what you've got, I'm afraid.'

As you see, the cost of this expansion is 948,000 Bells, not 9,480 Bells,
which would have been a nice reward for all the money you have given Tom Nook
so far!

Updated, added Nooks shop stages and the 2 village codes provided so far. Come on peeps :)

Also to all those who struggle to keep with the game, it depends a lot on what you want. Personally i love collecting everything, i want to have everything full in the museum, and i want to have some complete furniture sets in my house. Which takes aaaaages to do.

Damn i wish my router was compatible, i have Pears and Cherries ! :( Try my trick with the sending fruit to villagers btw, that's how i got cherries. Sent a pear to each of my 5 villagers and 'Lobo' sent me a cherry. Plant cherry, look after and voila, Cherry tree :)

Good idea, or just one night every week where you make a conscious effort to have your town open. Ie Brownpants, town open every Thursday at 8-10pm.
