*Official* Antec 1200 Case's,Builds,Modifications & FAQ's

I dunno..it must be me or I'm anal about cases..but I always notice the acrylic picks up scratches/swirl marks even after wiping them down with a micro fibre clots...very visisble under fan led's. In fact even from new when you peel off the plastic backing there is always glue marks left behind. Noticed this on my new LCD TV as well when I went over the screen with a halogen :o

Theres just something needy and tacky about having a window on the side of your pc. if they offered a plain replacement panel i'd go for it.

That's one part of this case i don't like actually. I do like side windows though but not when completely over done with tons of neon. its more the shape of the plastic section I don't like.

Just got this case today.

I already knew it didn't come with the 2 extra fans like it shows in the youtube vid but I did expect to get the box that had the 5.25 - 3.5 adaptor and other bits and bobs which I did not, did anyone else here get it?

Thanks.

Yes there should be a little box with a fan clip, lots of screws and 1 5.25 to 3.5 adaptor front plate, and some cable ties.

Thanks, I phoned up OCUK to mention this and the bloke on the phone relaying information from one of their in house builders says you don't.

In fact nothing is supposed to come with it but if I phoned up Antec they would send me the bezel out.

Doesn't sound right to me but who am I to argue?

Phoned OCUK again and spoke to another guy who said Antec are sending out cases at the moment with nothing in them but that he is going to try and hunt down one and send it to me.

I got my 1200 on tuesday and it had the little box full of bits. Your going to have a very hard time screwing in your HDD's without the special long screws that come in the box.

Does anyone know a controller or something that will let me turn off the A1200 fans as needed? It's a bit of a pain in the bum to have to open up the main case to do it and the cooling is that good I don't need them all on all the time.

The Antec 1200 accessory box comes with every case, it includes all the case screws, cable ties, and front 3.5 mesh plate etc.... Posted a pic for you to show what the box & contents look like, hope this helps you...;)

Helps a lot thank you.

Just got a phone call back from OCUK and they found a box which they are sending out for tomorrow and for the trouble they are giving me 2 120mm Akasa blue led fans for the 2 spare fan slots.

Annoying because of the wait but very happy with the service.

Adam was the name of the guy who sorted all this for anyone from OCUK looking in.

Thats a great result. 2 of those LED fans is like £15

Yep, very happy with the result.

One other question just came to me while reading the comments on the sale page.

Has anyone here reversed the 200mm fan at the top so air blows in as opposed to out?

Apparently some earlier reviews claimed it got a bit hot inside but reversing the fan cools it down a lot.

Considering that I will have when all up and running 5 case fans blowing in plus the fans on the PSU, CPU & Graphics cards and then including the 200mm 3 fans blowing out would it make sense to reverse the 200 mm and just leave the 2 rear fans for exhaust?

Thanks

i cant see why the 3 front inatkes wouldnt be enough unless you had all 3 bays blocked up with HDD's. I'm only using the 200mm as exhaust and temps are 10c cooler than my smaller lian li case.
