Hi, nope, sorry, unfortunately that is the way the jmicron firmware is designed, unless you get rid of that ide drive and switch it off...

Not sure how high mine is but its a couple of notches up at least.

NB started to get a bit toasty so i rigged a wee 60mm fan to blow over it...dropped temps a lot

iirc low 50c under load is normal

Hi, mine is high because I've two gfx cards working off it, around 50-60c when loaded, but it is rated up to 90c anyway. I've reseted my NB/SB as well which improves things...

thanks, thats good to know :D primed my system for 5 and half ours last nite no errors. think i'll leave it @ 3.5 and not try any more
